Ok obviouslly since these are my first rings in bowling I'm a lil anxious to get em and was just wondering how long does it usually take to get awards for 300/800's? I shot my 800 11/7 so should have a 11 in a row and 800 ring for it and my 300 on 11/16. Talking to some friends they were telling me how they got theirs around 1month after shooting the scores. I know enough of you on here have rings to know the average time. Any ideas?

I shot a 300 at Arm I this year in early November myself and still haven't received my plaque...... I would suspect that your awards and mine will be in this month and passed out at our next Assoc. meeting for a Director to present your award on the night you bowl... We have the big meeting on Jan. 14th and I'm sure all awards that are in will be passed out the following week.....

I have never done that myself, but from what I have heard it takes longer.

Well finally got my 800 ring from 11/07/05 tonight. I think the best part about it was when I peeled the label off the package saying my name and saw the shipping date. Was a surprise to see it was sent on Dec 9th from Austin, Tx to Joe maddox. Could of walked there to get it quicker lol

yeah, that is pretty slow i will admit. But you got it and it's nice to recieve it in the league you bowled it. The new USBC board has a committee for that, and any suggestions for improvement will be noted. Congrats, it always seems more real when you get the award!

Wow, I had asked Joe about this situation, and it seems like there was another problem... most likely, he mistakenly returned it with some other awards that were returned. Bobby Browder women's 300 ring, the wrong award for someone's 800... stuff like that...
It has been our (the Association's) focus to try to improve the processing and presenting of awards to our membership.
As you can attest, we still do not have a perfect system, but, at least, we dont' have directors taking awards and putting them in the trunks of their cars for months on end anymore...
We will continue to try to improve this aspect of Association duties...
Sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced while waiting for your award.

Joe Maddox is still processing awards for the PBA... You will have to contact him about it.
I know there were no awards for you handed out at our last meeting... to my knowledge anyway.
BOM is the league rep for Thursday nights.. maybe he has your award in the trunk of his BomStang...

Hey... at least you can BOWL an 800... where's the satisfaction of accomplishment... all you people are interested in is your gumball machine rings..... I think this is a topic we can address at our next PBA meeting... we should be presenting awards as soon as they are received... not monthly. That's my opinion, and that's what I would suggest... but, all of Directors are going to have to make themselves available to pick up these awards from Joe or whomever, so they can be presented in a more timely manner...

Well in the past I have always recieved my awards in the mail. I have never had them mailed to the association and now I know why lol J/k. The pba bored of directors seem to do a better job than previous associations I have had the displeasure of dealing with IMHO.
And as far as the satisfaction of accomplishments go I have several 11 in a row, 299's, 300's and 800's that I never sanctioned and never turned the paper work in for. didnt see the need in it and dont like to wear rings or hang plaques on the wall. I knew I did it and that was all that was important to me. I was nieve in my thinking because it wasnt long after that the abc started keeping records of it online and they came out with the multi top rings. I will never get the previous ones sanctioned now but i will turn in for the rest from now on. Yes it was stupid of me i know lol
