Just want to let everyone know who wasn't their that the team of Arnold Amarak, Mary Arce, Greg Gilley, Steve Fenix, James Medearis *i'm sure I mispelled some names there*. Just broke the city record for single game tonight with a 1356. And from the little looking around I just did on bowl.com they might be 2nd highest ever...
"Mixed One Woman, Four Men 1,376 P.S. Finishing, Waukesha, Wis., Jan 8, 2002 1,349 Minnesota Timberwolves, Mathews, N.C., Nov. 1, 1999"

Both Arnold and Greg didn't strike the 1st ball in the 10th and Steve didn't strike in the 11th. There's 50+ pins right there.

PLus, Mary Arce was telling me during the PWBA City how horribly she has been bowling this year... barely able to even shoot a 200 game... the others are all capable of shooting high scores, just seems like a one time shot to get an entire team on a roll like that... because there have been some d**n good teams that did not ever bowl #'s that high....

i would like to know the games because that's a 271 average per bowler and if three didn't strike in the 10th or the 11th, i don't see how they did it. does someone have the games they bowled. that means even with a 300 the other four had to have 261 - possible, i am not doubting, i am just curious. when david told me i thought maybe that was with handicap

James 300 Arnold 279 Mary 273 Steve 257 Greg 247 It was fun to watch. This was the first time I've EVER seen other league bowlers getting into it, crowding around AND the applause was nice to see after each bowler finished their 10th frame.

i figured. not to diminish their accomplishments, there are just 6 or lanes there that high scores come off of - i don't know why, there just are. that is the same pair garland and them shot so high in team at tourny. it is fun to watch 5 people get in sync like that at any sport. that's what makes it so exciting, everyone getting on at the same time like that is a blast!
good for them, they will get an award at the end of the year from USBC for high score in the entire nation!

High this year if it holds and 2nd all-time... That should get them something....I don't know what that is, a plaque maybe, or a Merit Award of some kind... I really don't know.

I agree that area 17 to 24 is well known for having some high scores...... but I don't think their other games were that impressive..... I know they got spanked in game one....

That is some good bowling... I'd like to be the low bowler with a 247 game...
"YOU SUK GILLEY".... #kick#
lol
I think James Medearis has had like 10- 300 games since Christmas in that house....
The awards they used to give were nice plaques...rjj and G-Man got one a few years back for 3rd high game in the nation for whatever year... 3/2 ratio...
But, now, with all the grief USBC is catching for crummy awards it will probably be a book of matches or something....
