The XBOM reminded me this morning the record listed in the PBA Book for 4 man team game and series is probably wrong. We need to locate our sheet from the Hurricane's Hustlers League, but JF, DF, Fravel and Scott Savant had a team game for sure higher than what was listed. We had 277, 257, 290 and 300-- 1124 as a team and I'm not sure what our series was, but Fravel had 795, (his highest ever), and they had to come out and check the lanes because of our teams scores. Allen Cope came out... Hey PBA, you may be right on the 4 man score. But MrP's team would be considered a mixed team if I am not Mistaken. Plus, nice shooting MrP. Saw the recap last night. You all bowled really well. #drool# #drool#

Finally got an email reply back from George Bishop concerning our 4 person mixed scores last week for game and series in the ABC Independent League to see if we broke any State records. This is what his letter said.
Jeff,
I have researched this and found that Texas does not keep track of local league records. The only records maintained are the state tournament records. The state association basically only does the State Tournament, it is not a membership type organization and consequently none of the scores are ever reported on the state level, which would make it possible for them to keep those records. You may be able to find out from national USBC whether or not this is a state record, but apparently no one maintains any records.
Good Bowling and Congratulations,
George Bishop
What an injustice to our Texas bowlers...JMO...

I sent off a response to this reply and got another reply back from George which states that he will bring this up with the new USBC Texas State board in which these records would be kept track of and posted on the TSBA website. He recommends that I give it a little more time, since the board is new and still organizing and I should re-send the letter informing them of our scores, so that they may be recorded and posted to the site once they get organized....

HBA used to have all those mixed city records listed in the average book, but, has since taken out all MIXED scores when women could join ABC. They may not recgonize mixed records anymore.

Well tonight in the ABC Independent league we start using our set average for the first three weeks.... and I'll have a tough road to hoe, so to say......After starting off going 708, 696 & 813 I've managed to set a 246.33 average for the first three weeks.... Hope I can stay close to it or I could be hurting our team over the next few weeks....
Jeremy is wanting to out average me this summer since he had high average last year in the league during the summer (238 I think)and I had it two years ago (242)... didn't bowl this league last summer. And Jeremy hasn't beaten me yet in any of the first three weeks, so you better tighten up a bit if he want to catch me Big Chewy....lol....

I was very up and down last night...lol....267, 155, 235 I think....657 series... Lanes were weird last night, at least during the 2nd game. Had 2 pocket 7-10's, 2 - stone 8 pins, missed a 10 pin and an overflowing bucket spare all in the 2nd game alone....lol........lots of oil carry down last night.... oh, well the lanes can't be perfect everyweek... but they weren't that bad either....I did drink a bunch last night....lol... I'm sure that had more to do with it than anything else.....lol...

Well Last Wednesday bowled pretty well, though it did not start off too good. Shot 183, 224, 268 for a 675. Maybe it is the house, but I set a 217 average, and after this past week it should creep up to 219. My goal this summer is to be in the 220 range, and then carry it over to the winter. I feel really comfortable throwing the ball, and seem to be making the right adjustments now.

Subed last night for Perfect. I bowled pretty well. Shot 257-237-239=733. Only had one open and that was when I missed a 10 pin the first frame.

Congratulations to John Jerkins and Jack Simmons for 300 games last night, great bowling guys. John has been on a hot streak here lately with a 300/816 last week and a 300 last night.
I was just so-so last night, went 255, 215 and 207 for a 677. I was tired after working on my yard all day Tuesday and was fading fast...lol.... Every joint and muscle in my body hurt last night...It's hell to get old....lol...My legs are still sore today...It's IB Prophen time...lol...We only managed to go 2-2 last night, lost the first game by 6 and the 2nd by 5. ..Could have lost all 4 if it wasn't for Jack's 300 the last game and Big Chewy's 256. At least you made up for that 171 games the first game Chewy....lol...

Thanks for the kudo's. I think the sport league is helping with a few things lol. I know I can tell with every shot I throw if it will strike or not and if I threw it good or not. I seem to pay alot more attention to my ball reaction now to. But like perfect said its just a hot streak I've been going through and not to mention that place is kinda on the easy side. I know a few weeks ago on that league I shot 287 flat 7-10 split on the 11th shot for 783 series and a couple weeks before that I had 230,270,299 799 series on friday nights in that place. I still want to improve on some things though so im not giveing up yet. Congrats to jack also for his 300 game.
Hey perfect its hell to get old isnt it! Well thats what I hear anyways lol.
