What were your games last night PBA? I had a 514 series, 158, 181, 175 on a 163 average. Even though I shot 642 last night, I'm on a 235 average in that league and that is still 53 pins under my average overall. The closest person to me last night on our pair was Bob E., he had a 595. Jack and Dennis were in the 530 something range....We won three only because we were carrying Kristy's average last night less 10 pins. If she were there and bowled, most likely she would have bowled more than 10 pins under her average. We only won the 3rd game by 5 pins and I had to strike out in the 10th for us to do it.....Talk about pressure on a tough shot... but I put 2 flush in the pocket and the third tripped a 4 pin...lol... what a shock....lol...

Nothing to report on scores this week, bowling was cancelled last night due to flooding.... I tried going up there last night about 4:45 and couldn't go past the boston market on fuqua & 45 so I turned around and went back to Jeremy's house and went home @ 9 p.m. the water had gone down by then and made it home getting on the beltway to red bluff made it in 16 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It took me 1 hour and 10 mins. to get home from work yesterday. Had to take Airport from Mykawa to Hwy 3., then turned south down to Dixie Farm Rd., then over to 45, then down the feeder to FM 2351. But what took the longest was getting from Telephone to 45 on Airport and getting through 45, once I got there, it didn't take me long to get home going down Hwy 3.
Telephone and Beltway 8 was still under water coming to work this morning. Had to go down to Cullen before turning North, took it down to south Orem Dr. to get back to Mykawa to get to work. We still have some office and Sales people that haven't made it in yet. Pearland and Alvin still has a lot of flooded street and impassible roads...

Congratulations to the BOM for a 300 game and Steven Crawford for his 2nd career 800 series (800)...
We won 3 games and I bowled ok not great... started out the first 2 games with a turkey and a 4-bagger... I threw a double gutter... and then I bowled a 101 the last game...
I still got some learning to do..... lol

First off, congrats to Steven Crawford for shooting 800 even last night and to the Xbom for a 300 game. I don't know Xbom's series, because I left before the end of his 3rd game but he did have a 257 I think his first game. Great bowling guys!!!!
SIDK took 4 from 1st place team High Hopes last night and moved with in 2 or 2-1/2 games of first place I think. Thanks to Jack Simmons coming out of his Monday night slump and shooting a real nice 745 series. I did ok with games of 247, 220 (Two big splits in the 6th and 8th frames) and finished with a 237 and 704 series for the night.
The lanes conditions are better than what they were before but on our pair last night (29 & 30) the right lane broke down 2 boards from end of practice to the 2nd frame of the first game. I was lined up on both lanes in practice, struck every ball in practice for that matter. From the get go, the right lane had a ball reaction of skid hook, skid hook. The left lane stayed the same until the 6th frame of the 2nd game before I had to make a 3 board adjustment to get off the beak. By the 3rd game on both lanes the skid hook, skid hook ball reaction got even worse. On our pair, I was getting early hook around 16' to 20' down the lane, then it would skid again until about 38 to 40' down the lane before turning to the pocket. I noticed this some last week on Tuesday night on the low end as well. Seems like the lane machine is dropping it's oil unit amounts after the heads around (16' line) and picking back up around 20' down the lane and the track and middles aren't as heavy with oil as they were last year....JMO..... This problem is with the oiling machine IMO... It's not making the lane unscorable but they could be even better if the skid hook, skid hook ball reaction could be fixed...JMO..

Congrats to Xbom for his 300 (which almost wasn't)lol. And to Steven for his 800, having to hold my a$$ up. Just another crappy night for me last night. For some reason the I do OK in practice, but as soon as the first game starts I can't hit my mark to save my life. I went 144-236-229=609. The only adjustment I made was I moved up about a quarter of a step on the approach.
On the two positive sides we did win 3 (would have been 4 if not for the 144). And I like my new ball. Even with the 1" pin. I'm glad Jimbo knew what to try and do with it. It has one hell of a flare on it thou, anywhere from 6-8 inches. When I throw it right and it hits the pocket, it sounds like a Mack Truck going through.

Bowled pretty good last night for the first time this season on Monday or Tuesday as a matter of fact. Had games of 257 300 which could have been 288 if I miss the stone 9 I left in the 11th 289 if I spared it 299 If I leave that 10 pin that was there or a few seconds or 300 which it was!!!! I'm almost positive that was the most exciting 300 game I've ever had! The ups and downs of the 10th frame covered the spectrum of highs and lows in just the 3 shots in the 10th frame!!!! I was actually nervous the start of the 3rd game had a gutter ball the 1st frame with a spare a split in the 5th frame but then left a 10 pin in the 7th that ultimately cost me 800 had a 221 the last game for a 778 series. Not too bad since it was the 1st time this year for bowling good. Maybe next time I won't be as nervous and will bowl better the 3rd game!! As a team we won 4 games from the high handicap team!!!!!!!!!!! It helped that we all bowled good. Robbie had games of 194 200 151 for a 541 on his 13? average. We've got perfect's team tonight in the men's legue I hope my bowling carries over til tonight. We're in a fight for 1st place so winning is the only option tonight!!!!!!!!!!! C y'all then gotta get ready for work!!! Thanks for the congrats xbom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey your welcome Bom, glad you like it but something tells me you shouldnt use it tonight lol.
Threw the ball pretty good last night but didnt shoot anything. I missed alot of simple spares and was haveing a hard time focusing between the kids running around driveing me nutts and the asian team we were bowling.
I need to drill me up something a little stronger if they decide to keep the shot like it is.
Congrats to all who bowled well last night.

You mean, something more skid - flip?....Something to help get it down the lanes but will pop strong to get it back and carry the corners, since we have to BOOM the ball right to get it through the heads and down the lanes....lol.... For you, get a tame Perlized ball and have the pin at 12 o'clock... but have the mass bias on the positive side, not the negitive side like my Hammer Doom....Just my suggestion.... Something like what you did for my Horizon but with a tamer cover stock.... ;D

I have something drilled 12'o clock stacked and might bring it tonight but I need to tweak the thumb size and make it snugger.
