To any Pasadena Assoc. Official that can answer this.....
I don't know where the problem lies or who is doing this but the Occidental Mixed Standing Sheet posted on the website is now 3 weeks old and I'm sure there are probably other leagues at both houses that don't have up-to-date standing sheets. When are these going to be up-dated?... Just wondering... It's very nice that the Assoc. is doing this but if it's going to only be up-dated every once in a while, it kind of defeats that purpose in my opinion....

There are numerous messages on the Message Board linked on that website explaining the situation.
I am not happy with the frequency of the updates, I knew it would be a problem... it is.
I thought it would be easier to do, but it's not easy... the uploading procedure is much more complicated than I thought it would be... I was going to do it myself, but cannot catch on to how to do it... and I don't have time to learn it right now...
Cassidy has promised me he is working with someone on how to make it an easier process, and when it is accomplished we will be posting htem again.

Thanks... I am picking up standing sheets today and scanning and emailing them to the webmaster.
As I have said again and again I am very dissatisfied with how the website is being managed.
And it's not just the standings, it's the lack of information and updates of results and upcoming tournaments and events.
This is not soley to blame on the webmaster, there are a variety of reasons. We have revamped the committee to include othrs that have more extensive knowledge of webpage management and hopefully, the site will become more professional looking, as well as having information updated and advertised in a more proactive, productive manner.
I am very cognizant that in this electronic day and age, internet use and computer knowledge is at an all time high. Gone are the days of bulletin boards in the bowling centers advertising Association activities.
With that in mind, the Website is one of my top priorities. Except for learning how to do it myself (which is STILL an option) I have put the responsibility of the website on to others... and I have been on Cassidy's butt about it... It's hard to fire a volunteer... you get them more help and hope that inspires everyone to take a little more time to accomplish things.
Also, in a volunteer situation, you work at a snail's pace... people have different schedules you must allow for, and what would take a day or 2 in business can easily take a month or 2 in our situation.
I will also say this... at the Executive Committee meeting last weekend it was also brought up that hiring a professional to maintain the site could also be investigated.
So, have I expressed my thoughts out clear enough to indicate that I may have known the standings were 2 -3 weeks behind, and that the scans I made last week were never posted?
Just wondering. I thought maybe the 20 times a day I check the website to see if updates are being made were a waste of time...

I figured most likely you knew, just wanted to make sure and also give you additional ammunition (Assoc. member complaint and dissatisfaction), doubt you needed it but wanted to say something to you, so you could get on the person or persons responsible for up-dating the website.
Also the posting of honors scores has still not been done at all as well as the lack of advertisement you pointed out.
I know your doing all you can as President and it's your job to delegate out responsibilities and not have to do everything yourself. Your job is to lead and oversee, which I feel you have done very well so far.....

As has been indicated by the poor performance in posting standings I can GUARANTEE that High Scores are not going to be posted. I have no problem posting an outstanding achievement on the site as a special blurb... but there is NO WAY we can keep up with the amount of honor scores that are bowled in Pasadena... So, what you'll see with that aspect of the site is that it will more than liekly be eliminated.

You can actually volunteer and be appointed to a committee by the President. Feel free to volunteer.

Just didn't have the time to do an adequate job, so I stepped aside. But I did at least serve for 1-1/2 years, and that's more than many people in Pasadena...

PBAHoFer gave the website info Tuesday night ... I told him that I would take a look at it this weekend to see what if any improvements I thought could be made.
Not that I have extensive amounts of free time to fool with it, but I will do what I can to make it better and more accessible.

On the City Records Page... It does not show Erik's games and series for the City Record. Also, for 4 person Mixed for Series and Game are old records. "Series" belongs to Erik's team from last summer in the ABC Independent league, when he shot that 879 series. They shot a "3015" series. Robert Beck, Bob Eason and Kristy Krol were the other members on the team. For "Game", it's now "1082" by my team "Smooth up-n-ya" during the summer in the ABC Independent league with me, Jeff Clark (278), Jeremy Evans (268), Jack Simmons (266) and Dana Simmons (270). It would be nice if Cassidy could up-date this....Thanks... But other than that, the site looks great and I do like the league standing sheet pages much better..... GREAT JOB and KUDOS to the PASADENA ASSOC.....

GREAT JOB and KUDOS to the PASADENA ASSOC..... Some of the pages were just put "up" to have them on there and we were not clear on dates and scores. The team scores information was just transferred from last year's average book. We were hoping to supply the dates with the scores, so if you have that information to go with the scores you listed in this post I'm sure we could get that updated.
