Five Man Team Game – 1356 “Smooth up-n-ya” James Medearis Greg Gilley Arnold Adamak Steve Felix Mary Arce
April 12, 2006
I appreciate the Assoc. trying to up-date the site but this is wrong information. James M. Team name is not Smooth up-n-ya, there team name is "Straight Up". Smooth up-n-ya is our team name. Also, their score would be for 5 member team Mixed with a 4-1 ratio 4 men - 1 women..... Not the 5 "men" as in only, Team game record. They all have to be men and Mary is not one.
Four Mixed Team Series – 2896 “Game on Again” Randy Thurston Danna Browder Ellis Ritter Bobby Browder
Armadilla Lanes
July 29, 2005
As we said yesterday, this is now Erik's team record of 3015
Four Mixed Team Game – 1038
“Game on Again” Randy Thurston Danna Browder Ellis Ritter Bobby Browder Armadilla Lanes
July 29, 2005 And this is my Team Game record "Smooth up-n-ya" with a score of 1082.

Paula is updating the stats for the site.. I'm sure she just copied the wrong informaiton down. I f you would like to email her the correct information.
You seem to be doing plenty of research... you may as well pass along the correct info to her yourself.

We plan on meeting officially as a committee once a month to ensure the site stay active. I agree, with a mixed team they should not be listed as 5 "man". I'm also hesitant to list EVERY option of team make-up and try to keep track of all those records... but I'll discuss it with the committee and see what they ar willing to do. Also, there is a place to click on pasadenabowling.com to report problems, errors and other stuff. I'm sure you mean well but publicizing every "finding" you have uncovered on this site is unnecessary. I'm glad you "appreciate" our efforts though... I'm sure that will make everyone want to work that much harder...

Sorry PBA, your right. I wasn't meaning anything negative at all by posting it on here. I should have used the contact us option on the assoc. website. I'm just so use to posting on here and everyone in our group, it was out of habit, not trying to make anyone or group look bad at all. That was never my intention. Was only wanting to help....

We got the excuse, well, it's summer leagues and no one looks at this that much anyways but we'll be up and running updates on the site including league standing sheets for the fall leagues.....
Ok, we're 2 months in and still no updates on anything..... What gives?

We got the excuse, well, it's summer leagues and no one looks at this that much anyways but we'll be up and running updates on the site including league standing sheets for the fall leagues..... Ok, we're 2 months in and still no updates on anything..... What gives? The website was created and filed on Paula Donahue's computer. She has resigned from the board, therefore, the Association is having to transfer files and data onto one of our computers, which we will have at our new "office". The computer we want to use needed debugging and was having a problem with access to internet and email. This was likely caused by being stored and utilized by persons not as computer savvy as others, and thus, problems with the computer ensued. The computer is being worked on/ fixed now... As soon as we have the equipment in place, we will be updating and posting standings like we did last year. If you'll notice, there IS a link to the Trio tournament that was posted a couple of weeks ago... Now, having laid out the nuts and bolts of the issue, I will offer MY personal opinion... I am disappointed is the Association's situation of not utilizing this asset for our membership. It is the number 1 complaint I hear from membership, and it is MY # 1 complaint about my fellow volunteers and Board. I do not know how to manage a website... and also, as President of the local Associaiton, I have to allow my fellow members the opportunity and leeway to accomplish their own tasks and business, in a timeframe that may be different than my own. It is the most difficult part of leading a group... It's not fair to me to take on every task... and it's not fair to others to not allow them to earn their place as well... you end up with dissatisfied volunteers and a Dictatorship... which I am not interested in creating. Please bear with us... I promise the website will be updated and active again at some point this fall... and if the Association is forced to pay for this service that is an option that will be investigated in the future as well...

That's not a bad idea to pay for the service but it may be a good idea that the person that is already being paid by the Assoc. to take on these duties or at least pay them a little more to do so. But that would require that this person know how to do it, which could be a prerequisite for future Assoc. Managers if our present one does not....Just an idea.....

I do not think it should be a requirement for an Association Manager to know how to manage a website.

I do not think it should be a requirement for an Association Manager to know how to manage a website. I can understand that..... I was only saying, it would relieve a headache of hopefully having a knowledgeable board member having to do it and hope that they will stay up on it like you feel it should... We are in the computer age and work these days are requiring more computer skills on all of us.... But keeping a board member on board at all times that can do it in addition to their already busy schedule could be asking a lot......the practable thing to do, is pay to have someone do it and the cheapest way (but not the only) would be for the Assoc. Manager to do it.....JMO..
