I would also like to piggyback on Mr. President's comments about the new ownership at Diamond. I am looking forward to hopefully a better turnout for GPUSBC events held at both centers. With equipment in better shape, we should have more entries in our tournaments. After lane inspections this past month, Diamond's lanes were very good. After the resurfacing, there is a really good shot out there -- I didn't hear any complaints about the shot (although MrP will probably have something negative to say) or the staff, only about the equipment. I just may go over there next week and throw a few practice shots! (and YES, MrP, I have been known to practice every now and again -- and it STILL doesn't help! ) That's because you haven't let Mr. P help you..... I'm sure the shot at Diamond is fine, it can't be any worse than Arm I is right now that gets oil carry down to the pin decks by the 5th frame of the first game. I know Eddie B likes Diamond shot better than Arm I's right now.... and I will be glad to go back there and bowl leagues once a few things happen. Like getting more league participation from people I know and are friends with, a liquor license, Properly working lanes and scoring system and an A/C system that works 99% of the time. I bowled Hurricane/Diamond through out the late 80's and all of the 90's. I didn't bowl Arm I much until the last few years or so as far as leagues... And Hurricane/Diamond back then wasn't even close as far as producing honor scores like Arm I was.... Makes me wonder how many more Honor scores I would have if I'd bowled Arm I exclusively....

Based on the number of honor scores you have bowled at Arm I versus the number of scores you have from elsewhere I will predict you would have LESS.
I have very few of my scores from Arm I, I have a 2-299, 300 and that's about it from there in 20+ years... while I have many (compared to a few) at other sites...

Yes, bowl.com stats don't go back anyfurther than 98..... I had 4-300 in one year at Diamond (fall & summer) and 1 at State that same year.... It don't show any of my Mimosa, Belfort, Meadowcreek, Arm I and Arm II scores shot before 1998... If I would have Bowled Arm I more back in the 90's, I feel would have even more. It seemed liked everyone was shooting 300's and 800's at Arm I and many of them wouldn't have been able to do it any where else...IMO...

What I meant was I was bowling honor scores at other centers and had none to speak of @ Armadilla even though it was supposed to be easier...
Diamond was pretty easy when the Knapes had it... when Rick Thomas was @ Arm I they weren't scoring as high as Diamond did...
I've always bowled better @ Arm II than Arm I

Diamond was pretty easy when the Knapes had it... when Rick Thomas was @ Arm I they weren't scoring as high as Diamond did... I've always bowled better @ Arm II than Arm I Gotcha..... I had my hardest time at Diamond when the Knappe's had it.... They had the dry too dry for me, I didn't shoot anything or maybe 1 or 2 honor scores when they had the place. My average dropped big time down from the mid 220 to 210 or 211 during their tenure. I didn't bowl much at Arm I during the 90's maybe 2 leagues total. I bowled Hurricane/Diamond and I did ok there but it's been widely proven as a whole that during the 90's, more honor scores came out of Arm I than Hurricane/Diamond overall.... I also bowled Arm II and Meadowcreek back then. I also only bowled maybe 2 leagues a year from 94 to 2000. After Tonya and I split up, I was able to bowl more and rededicate myself to bowling, thus my bowling is back to where it once was in the 80's and early 90's... That's probably the reason I have 20 years between my 2 State Titles...lol...
