Congratulations to the bowlers of Pasadena. After failing to raise a quorum for their first try @ electing officers.... the PYABA had a full house at their meeting today. Both center's representatives were there, and the PWBA absences were covered by their alternates.
They voted on dues to report to the USBC ByLaws and elected officers.
Congratulations to the following:
Paula Donahue: President
Paula has done a great job with her involvement with YABA, not just Armadilla, but involving the youth from both centers in events such as the Mutt and Jeff tournament, and then in her center she has revamped the YABA Bulletin Board and has point lists and awards and all kinds of stuff posted. she is very deserving and will do a great job.
Bobby Browder: Vice President.
Now he is Danna AND Paula's beeeeyotch. lol. Seriously, Bobby has replaced his regional tournament weekends with Association related activities and is proving himself to be a valuable contributor to the Pasadena Bowling Associations boards.
Gretchen Harmon: Sgt. of Arms
You know they'll do a good job when they are elected even when they are absent..... lol
Seriously though, Gretchen has proven herself with the PBA and is Head House Rep @ Diamond, and has almost singlehandedly taken the ideals presents by USBC and our Board and put them into action.
The only snafu was when I opened my big mouth to announce they needed to hold their election for the Youth Committee to our new USBC Board on January 14, 2006 at the intial organizational meeting, instead of today. I am going to seek written verification from USBC on that matter and if that is indeed true, they will follow those guidelines. If however, that election in supposed to take place at some point before the intial meeting, they will hold the election at their meeting in September.
Congratulations to all involved in PYABA.
