Internet and cable was down, so this is my first chance to post results.
We had 20- Division 1 entries, 17- Division 2 and 10- Division 3 (Women).
A pretty good turnout. We lost several entries due to the Latin tournament in San Antonio... it's hard to schedule around those type tournaments... those things are juggernauts, and it seems liek there is one or two EVERY weekend... we just have to plan ahead next year, get our tournament scheduled with the Centers and posted in their "books", then bowlers can make their decisions on what they are going to bowl... but, scheduling around one Latin tournament, when there is another somewhere else the next week can't be the deciding factor on what and when we run tournaments.
I thank the PWBA members that attempted to qualify in league and then came and bowled the semifinals. We had a nice response from them.
High Scores:
@ Armadilla: Bobby Browder- 300, Eddie Brod- 298 (?) it might have been 299 or 300...
@ Diamond: Charlie Mills- 300/ 816, Cassidy Clark- 300, Ryan Boothe- 287/ 733
Lots of 260+ games by the guys and girls...
Results:
Division 1- Corey Brod (def. Charlie Mills)
Division 2- Cassidy Clark (def. Frank Guhlin)
Divison 3- Janese Hoy (def. Tammy de Leon)
Prize money has yet to be determined due to varied amounts of entries and in-league qualifying.
Pay-off date to be determined. Joe said he hoped to have it before Christmas.
Mike Fravel has designed Bowling pin trophies just like the ones used for the Mixed City, and they have the plates engraved and presented to the winners also...
