For those that haven't heard BoBo was found to have a concerous polyp in his intestines. It had been growing for quite a while. They removed the top, but could not get the stalk. They then tried to get the stalk again, but, could not with the colonoscopy device. It was also discovered he had not had gastric by-pass surgery as we all thought he did... he only had his stomach stapled, and it has herniated also.
He will be undergoing surgery on Friday, February 17. They will pretty much open him up from stem to stern, repair the hernia, remove the tumor, check out lymph nodes etc etc.
Please keep Bo, Jacob, Shelby, Jennifer, Katie and all the family in your thoughts and prayers.
This has been a rough stretch for our bowling "family".
It's good to know the life long friends we have each made through our bowling will be there to stand by each other's side in times of trouble in "real life".
Get Well Soon BoBo.
Love You,
David and Mike

It amazes me that the doctors get away with the crap they do. It is no wonder BoBo could eat whatever he wanted, unlike Missy. Since that doctor has filed bankruptcy and basically disappeared there is no recourse.
Hopefully this surgery will go well. I am ready for some good news!

Thanks for the thoughts and please keep up the prayers. This was definately a punch in the gut for all of us and really hard not to show our fears and concerns to our kids atleast not until we are somewhat more informed of what the futures holds. As far as the gastric bypass it does make the surgery more complex because his bowel was actually rerouted and attached so the food upon entering his stomach I guess you could say gets to make a choice of which way it wants to go. It sounds crazy doesnt it? Lets just say Bo is once again the talk of the town, lol or atleast the talk of the medical community. Well its gonna be a rough and scarey week for us all please keep him in your prayers, the thought of losing him scares the hell out of me. We have surgery friday we arent sure of the time yet I will do my best to keep you all posted. Bo's parents and my parents will be here as well. Thanks again
Jen

Bo had surgery Friday. It was extremely long, around 10 hours, but they got the polyp, took care of the hernia, and removed his galbladder. They feel like they got everything but won't know about chemo or any other needed treatements until they get the pathology results which won't be until next week sometime.
We went up to the hospital Saturday and yesterday. He's doing pretty good considering the length of the surgery. They had him up for a couple of minutes and I think they started physical therapy today. The earliest he'll get out of the hospital will be this weekend but that's still very questionable. All in all, he's doing well..
