That would be because he didn't...lol... Team I went, 207, 196, 246....649... Singles........200, 268, 267......735... Doubles......209, 226, 238.......673... for a 2057 AE Threw the wrong ball in team and threw the ball horrible the first two games and couldn't throw my Blade because I didn't clean the tape out before I bowled. The thumb was all gooie and I didn't have any alcohol wipes to clean it... I have no one to blame but myself on that one... In Singles, started off with my Horizon but it started over and under reacting, switch to my Blade, (cleaned all the thumb holes Saturday night) had a better line and carry except for the stone 8 pin in the ninth that cost me 20 pins....then proceeded to shoot 268 and 267... Joe Piez was my Doubles partner..(a lefty) he goes 768 in Singles... If they would have had doubles first like they use to.... we would have shot 1503 and would be in 2nd place and only 3 pins from 1st... For Doubles, stayed with the Blade for most of the first game, started hanging 10 pins.... oil started carrying down, switched ball several times, ended up staying with my Ricochet Rebound and only 1 board deeper with my feet... went 226 and 238 the last two games.... had another stone 8 pin that costed me another 20 pins.... lost 40 pins to two stone 8 pins on lane 20 and I wan't the only one that left stone 8's on that lane.... but that's the way it goes.... Dropped 25 dollars in brackets in Team on a 125.00 investment but came back Sunday, got in 20 brackets in Singles and in Doubles... won 8 brackets in Singles and 9 in Doubles.... got back 421.00 dollars Sunday on a 200.00 investment....I beat Ozio as well as many others in brackets, Ronnie Sonnier and Derrick Williams were bowling our squad as well.... but in their defense, they caught a bad draw on lanes....(Talked with Skipper A. afterwards).... Ozio only was +60 for 6 games on Sunday where I was +208 Sunday.... if he would have been on our pair, he would have shot a lot more...JMO... but luck of the draw for lane assignments is part of the game..... Well, those are some low to average scores I guess... According to the Texas State BA website, LOW TO CASH in Division 1 All Events is 2,065 That is true.... I'm hoping the low to cash will drop so I can get a little back in AE...... but 688 right now is low to cash in Singles..... Joe and I shot 1346 in Doubles and I think 1350 something is low to cash....... The shot was there for me at both houses....had some carry issues at both houses (felt we caught a bad carrying pair at Dart the Team house, there were 12 pocket 7 -10's left on our pair, I had 1 of them myself), threw the ball horrible the first two games of Team to, not having my equipment ready before Team.. I'm sure costed me a least 50 to 70 pins alone at the team house....JMO...

It's a shame scores that used to be outstanding are now sweating the low to cash line...

Good shooting in Singles Wine, my first game, kept me from shooting real big in Singles, much as your 3rd game did....but I felt we made a good showing for ourselves... Missed my goal of 2100+ but threw the ball horrible two games in Team and not having my equipment ready is mostly to blame and I have no one to blame but myself for that..... but I was satisfied with my bowling Sunday, spared all my 10 pins Sunday and only missed 1 Saturday..... Thanks MrP. Good shooting back at ya. I don't have as many options on equipment like others do as I rebuild myself and my game. I'm just glad I shot as well as I did with what I have. I have to give credit to the sport league for me covering so many spares including all my single pins for the weekend.

Yes, you should credit the Sport League for you making all your spares... all the spares a bowler misses in the Sport League translates to made spares on normal conditions....lol

It's a shame scores that used to be outstanding are now sweating the low to cash line... True... when you have a soft shot, catching the better pairs for carry can make a big difference.... I beat everyone in AE on our team except Joe Piaz he had a 2082 but he's a lefty... he threw the ball well though, he just didn't have to contend with lane transition as much as us righties did... We had a lot of oil carry down the last three games at Westgate, had trouble getting the 10 pin out....I didn't go to my Ricochet Rebound until my 3rd game, if I would have been smarter and moved to it during my first game of Doubles when I started to fish around for the right ball, I could have done better.... Me not shooting 2100+ was all to do with me. On soft conditions you can't afford to give away 2 games of scoring by throwing the ball bad and making wrong decisions on what ball to go to when the lanes transition..... and not having your equipment ready.....that was just stupid on my part...

perfect I'm pretty sure I've probably talked to more people that have bowled State so far than you have so I'll predict your score somewhere 1950 and 2000. The carry is tough in both houses and after talking to Robert Lawrence who lives in Austin and works for Brunswick he bowled with Carolyn Dorin-Ballard's team a few weeks ago and Robert said the shot was very wet dry and if you tried playing the oil line you could hit the pocket allday long but you would shoot spares because of the lack of carry. I think a power game is needed to score high and with your release and ball speed I predict alot of spare shooting in your future this weekend. Sure you'll have your string of strikes but they will be followed by several 9 counts in a row. Randy Ray went about a month ago and shot 1950 something and since y'all were real close in average on Tuesdays this year I'll predict you'll shoot somewhere close to his score.. JMO.... We go next weekend and at this time I'm debating what equipment to take and what surfaces I'll put on them. Bowl good but what ever you bowl I just hope I beat your score #nutkick# But I at least did beat Xbom's prediction for this weekend..... he predicted 1950 to 2000 and I went 2057.... My prediction was closer than Xbom's......So now, all Xbom can hope for to redeem himself is to beat me in All-Events....lol..... Good luck Xbom....you only have to average better than 228.55 to beat me... I know you can do it.....

I'm fairly smart for a blonde....lol... I just hope your thumbholes are ready when you get to Corpus... because you get no mercy if you have a list of excuses for your National's trip... You get 2 sentences of explanation when you return from that tournament: 1. I bowled well, I shoot ___, ___, ___, ____ (total team), ____, ____, ____, _____(total singles), ____, ____, ____, ____(total doubles), ________ (All Events). I won/ lost (choose 1)________ dollars in brackets. 2. I bowled like crap, and only have myself to blame.

Now for some feedback on the lanes at both houses...... for those that are going next week.....
Dart Bowl (Team House) similar to Arm II but with less hold.... I would recommend a Pearlized ball with a medium to tame cover stock with a medium hook drill pattern....this house was dryer than Westgate but if you cover too many boards, you won't carry. I was playing 3rd arrow with my Horizon and swinging it.. Back ends hooked more than Arm II's My Blade would have been a better ball....pin is at 3:00 o'clock on that ball...
Westgate (Doubles & Singles) shot is approx 2 to 3 boards tighter, more hold but ball will float if you get it out to 5th or 6th boards.... want to be around 12th to 13th board at arrows and get it out to 8 or 9 down the lanes.... even when the oil carry's down for Doubles, just go to a stronger cover stock but stay with a medium drill pattern.... shot stayed pretty much the same at Westgate for all 6 games.... keep your shot tighter here than at Dart, you will hang corners for sure if you swing it too much..... you can get away with swinging the ball more in Singles but definitely not in Doubles after the oil carries down....JMO... Oh, threw the Blade for the most part for Singles..... should have went to my Ricochet Rebound for all of Doubles... pin is at approx 2:30 on the Rebound....just a little higher than the Blade...
This is based off my game and the pairs I caught.... make your adjustments accordingly to your game and equipment you have.... your results will vary....lol....a little disclaimer....lol...

xbom was only off about 6 pins per game.. that's pretty close.... Only if you take the high end of his prediction..... I was going by total pins.....43 off from mine and 57 off from his.... I was just saying that mine was closer than his...lol... not that his was that far off, just that mine was closer....lol...
