Ihookplastic.... Since I'm taking David Ozio's place on y'alls Team for State, who will be my Double's partner, you or your Dad?..... Just wondering, it don't matter to me.... I can have fun with either of you and you both are good bowlers.... Why don't you ask him tonight when you see him. Doesn't he bowl on DF's team? I am, just posted just incase he got on the Forum before the end of the day....

I meant to post this yesterday or even earlier today.... but congrats go out to Roger Banks and Jimmy Paulk on a 1385 in State Doubles.... that presently puts them in 5th place and had a good pop at first but the lanes dried out fast the 3rd game and fell a little short.
I know they started off with Roger going 258 or 259 and Jimmy Paulk started with a 299 game.....that's +158 or more in just the first game....
GREAT BOWLING GUYS.....

It appears that our State Team is yet again changing one of it's members..."screwed" is not going to be able to bowl this weekend. Called and told Charlie A., it appears that they had someone in the wings wanting to go this weekend and it appears he's going to get his wish, Trey Batson from the Beaumont area.
Wine, I brought you up and said you would come over to our team but I got overruled. I think Derrick and Ronnie wanted Trey since they know him better and he's from that area. He is a PBA Regional bowler and has bowled the SASBA M/G events.... I tried big dog but couldn't get it swung our way. I'm just a sub to this year, so I doubt I had any pull....

I've emailed Jimmy cline and will forward the info upon his reply...
I don't remember there being a collar rule, but it seems like there are no hats and no shorts...

That's what I was thinking, that State was more relaxed on the collared shirts but wasn' sure.. Thanks, PBA.... I was going to send an email off to him if you didn't know.

PBA... At Men's State, do you know if it is required to wear a collared shirt like our City Tourn.? Long pants ARE required, but they are allowing shirts without collars this year, although it must have sleeves. I looked around last weekend and did not see even one t-shirt -- everyone was wearing a collar, even the women. By the way, congrats go to Mike Donahue for shooting a 290 in Singles and a 298 in Doubles. Ask him about the "order #97 is ready at the snack bar" during his approach in the 12th. His All-Events was somewhere around a 2050.

I did OK this past weekend, but it could have been alot better. The shot wasn't that difficult, but it was hot as hell on the low end of Forum and the entire house at City View. I got in 8 brackets each set. Here were my scores:
Singles: 178, 198, 222, 598 win 3 brackets Doubles: 234, 190, 258, 682 win 1 bracket Team: 215, 247, 256, 718 win 4 brackets & 1 2nd place
Overall on brackets I profitted 90.00 for the weekend. Shot 1998 all-events which beat everyone in our group, I think. Not sure what Ronnie Sonnier or Derek Williams finished with. Had fun and look forward to next year in San Antonio.

Derek Williams had a 2080 or 2090 something... I think Ronnie had less than I did...
I shot ok but wasn't happy with my scores...couldn't carry crap at either house..... went 661 in Singles, 667 in Doubles and 651 in Team...1979 All-Events... Lefties had the nuts at both houses but that's the way it goes sometimes.... As Kris has said, it was hot at both houses... and on top of that in Team, I stepped in some wet carpet by where the brackets were posted and really screwed up my 2nd game in team...(182), had a 215 the first game and ended with a 254, stone 8 pin big 4 in the 10th.... But we shot 3336 as a team and will finish somewhere around 9th or 10th we feel...(Alpha Q)
Good bowling Kris B. and Mike D.........

Danna & I did fairly well in doubles in the Women's tournament...... we shot a 1401 and as of today, tenth place is around 1430 - so hopefully we finished in the top 25. We are kicking ourselves for missing a few 10-pins that cost us dearly. Oh Well! Our team was also about 30 pins away from the 10th place team in Div I -- I think we shot around a 3030. We won't even discuss Singles................
