I thought I would be able to catch a few minutes of "The Jungles" doubles & singles squad this morning before getting ready for work, but they were already finished by the time I logged in. Their scores were posted on the tournament website already this morning by 7:30 AM

Oh well, I guess we will just have to hear about it when he gets back.

He'll probably be a little happy this year because he shot a little over 1800 A.E. But knowing how Perfect is he'll still probably come back and have something to cry about.

Well I wasn't really happy with my Nationals performance. We caught a bad pair in Doubles or let's say it was just reacting differently than Team and Singles pairs. I was probably throwing the wrong ball and playing the wrong line. I should have been deeper with my Brunswick Fury. Caught 5 splits my third game of Doubles throwing my Power Machine. Team event, started out with my new Fury, I was trying to play 12 or 13 at the arrows and get the ball out to 8 or 9th board down the lane. After opening 3 frames in a row (2nd -4th) switched to my Horizon and got a better reaction and carry. Finished up with a 201 with 3 opens. It continued reacting well through the 2nd game 223 but the oil moved around the 3rd game and the little bit of hold we had went away. Made an adjustment in the 8th and struck, made the same adjustment in the 9th, left a 10 pin and missed it like an idiot and marked in the 10th. Ended up with a 181 and lost at least 10 brackets to a 188 game. Put up 800.00 in Team and got back 690.00 Doubles, I just threw the wrong ball and played the wrong line. I should have pulled out my Fury and moved in to between 3rd and 4th arrow....went 165, 200, 158.... Singles pair was slicker, tried throwing my Horizon in between 3rd and 4th arrow but couldn't carry and caught a split and a missed spare. Pulled out the Fury the 2nd game and went /X/X/XXXXXX9 for a 249... and then went X9-,9/, XXXXXXXX9 Stone 7 pin on my fill ball for a 257...686 series....The ball hit like truck and carried well and gave me more area inside. I just wished I would have moved in with that ball sooner.....I think I could have shot a lot more in D & S...and possibly Team as well....Oh well, 1814 not bad but much less than it should have been. I had 18 splits (spared one of them) for the 9 games and 5 missed spares that were not splits that I should have spared. The splits and my lack to find the right line and ball for D & S kept me from shooting more....It's on me this year, the shot was out there, I just made bad decisions this year.... Oh, put up 400.00 in D & S in the brackets...200.00 in each, got back 520.00 so I cleared 120.00 less my minus 110 from Team, had a net profit of 10.00 bucks...lol... I guess that's better than losing....lol...

Yes, I saw that. It seems that both of us left a bunch of pins on the lanes this year.... You from missing a bunch of easy spares and me from many splits and bad line and ball decisions..... I'll get you next year.... 5 pins is not a lot... but it's enough.... We'll probably get back almost the same amount in All-Events I bet this year....lol...

Jeremy,
Just checked, your 1819 is in 2,967th place.... my 1814 is in 3,200th place. That's 233 places difference in just those 5 pins difference in score......WOW....
But there was 59,739 entries this year for Regular All-Events... Your still in the top 5% with your score and I'm in the top 5-1/2%....what a difference a few pins can make in these big tourns....
