Went to see the doctor yesterday afternoon and everything is pretty much status quo. I still have 3 spots of concern to keep an eye on. 5th rib under the left armpit, the left hip bone, and on the spinal column in the lower back area. I will be staying on the Tarceva and will see him again in 3 months.

That is really good news, but I know you were hoping to get off the Tarceva................. I am thanking God for that little trade off!
See ya tonight! and I am sure you will be kicking some hinneys tonight after being relieved of all the stress you've been through this week.

UPDATE...
Well guys, I have some bad news. My cancer is back. We have 4 spots that have grown and we will start chemo again November 30th. 2 of the spots are on the hips (1 on each hip near the back). Both of these have been hot spots for a while, but have both doubled in size since my last check-up. The other 2 tumors are in the upper left check behind the collar bone. The good news is no major organs or the lungs. Not sure what the side effects will be, but I was told that they should less than the chemo I had 2 1/2 years ago. I will be doing the chemo on Friday afternoon to give me the weekends to get ready to go back to work.
At first the doctor thought the Tarceva stopped doing it's job, but after I told him about mom, he feels that the stress level I have been under is the reason for the outbreak.
Again, keep the prayers and thoughts coming. Thanks.

Thanks for the up date Kris, I'm very sorry to hear this news. Keep your chin up, keep your faith and hope strong, I know you can beat this. I will have you and your parents in my prayers and thoughts. Never give up the fight, I know your friends are to here to help in anyway we can.

Had my first treatment Friday and everything went better than I thought. The side effects of this one drug were alot more tolerable than I thought, so I had a semi-normal weekend. A little tired, but it was expected. I enjoyed the GPUSBCA Christmas party yesterday. Everyone have a great day and thanks for the prayers.
