I heard about that. It also happens to coincide with the Bluebonnet Queens Tournament which I will be bowling. Hopefully, I will do good.

Is Doc bowling the Masters event? Oh, and good luck and bowl well..... No, he is not. He has School on Saturdays. I will be going with a Best Friend of mine Steve. He is going to be my Cheerleader and Bowling Equipment Technician and Chauffer. By the way, what shot are they putting out for the Masters? They are putting out the Cheetah Pattern for the Women. Oh also, Congratulations on the Induction!!!!!! Sorry I missed it. And Good Luck to you also!!!!!!

The same, Cheetah....
Be ready to play straight up the 1, 2, 3 boards...... you hit the 4th or 5th boards the ball will run left on you quickly....

Inside usually moves too much... have to really be able to project it right and accurately. There might be something like hitting 6th to 8th board at the arrows and getting out to 3,4 boards but you'll need a little more aggresive ball and again, you'll have to be accurate.... It will most depend on the house charcteristic and the oil volume. There are several versions of the Cheetah pattern... You have to adjust to what's out there and make your best guess on where to play and what ball.... but odds are the shot will be from 5th board out for the best results and mistake area.... you'll just have to do what works for you....

Pick out a couple of good women bowlers that have experience on this shot like Jeff Jones's sister Heather or maybe Vicki Rios and I'm sure there's others and watch where they are playing and what they are throwing....
You'll want a ball that will get through the heads clean but also has some pop on the backends..... a polished up Black Widow would be good... Wished I had one myself for this Tourn.....lol...

Man, sounds like a tough shot to me. But, thank you for the Advice. Hopefully you will be close so I can run back and forth for some pointers. Acutally, her's the deal with playing the outside part of the lane, or the gutter, as wee used to call it... You move out, you walk straight, you have a straight arm swing, you aim at the first arrow.... the beauty of this line is you don't really have to worry as much about hitting 2 marks (lay down spot AND break point), you just hit the one spot and adjust you speed and you are good to go... you might throw a gutter or 2, but, you can't fear the gutter... focus directly on your target and hit it with confidence... follow through straight and true... I made it into the Hall of Fame learning and trusting that shot... as I told one of the Savant boys one time.. the ball ain't gonna scream and not come back if it goes ion the gutter, so quit focusing on what bad might happen and realize it's one mark on the lane... closer to the gutter...

Excellent point and advice PBA... you can't fear the gutter... I had 4 gutter balls in that Del Mar Regional earlier this month on the Cheetah pattern and I still cashed and only missed the Match Play by 21 sticks.... if I would have been trying to play a line further inside, I would not have cashed..... My 4 gutter balls are attributed to lack of play on that type of condition and mental & physical fatigue from having to execute properly on every shot and being 47 year of age...lol..... 3 of them were on Sunday.... but you have to shake it off and keep no fear in your mind.....

What time do you bowl Saturday? I don't bowl til 2:30 I think,,,, I also bowl at 2:30. I have a Total NV and I also have a Depth Charge which gets good reaction. I guess I'll have to practice with all of them to see just what kind of reaction I get. Thanks Mr. Perfect.

I on the other hand did not fair as well. The easy spares killed me. I am really hoping that Carolyn won the Queens. She was absolutely killing the pocket. I think her lowest game was a 223 for the 8 games of qualifying. It was really awesome to watch her. She was on the pair next to me. Maybe next year. Next Year is Forum Bowl. I do have to say the turnout was not what I expected. Only had one squad. However, the Women had more than the Men did. Women only had 57 Entries and the Men only had 35 before they started taking sign ups. They took sign ups until 1:30 because of the lack of Entries. The Men ended up with 52 after all.
