God Bless you Paul. You were not only a good friend but a valued person in my life and many others.
There wasn't a time you didn't make me laugh. Your sense of humor was far above anyone I have ever known.
I will never forget the good times we all had....like our trip to Louisana....you always made it a blast.
I know your making them laugh up there!!!!!
You will forver have a place in our hearts,
Love

Just a little poem hope it makes you feel better
How Do You Live Your Dash
I read of a man who stood to speak At the funeral of a friend He referred to the dates on his tombstone From the beginning...to the end He noted first came the date of his birth And spoke the following date with tears Then he said what mattered most Was the DASH between the years For the DASSH represents all the time He spent here on earth And now only those who love him Know what that little line is worth For it matters not, how much we own The cars...the house...the cash What matters is how we live and love And how we spend our DASH So think about it long and hard... Are there things you'd like to change? For you never know how much time is left For things to be rearranged If we could just slow down enough To consider what's true and real And always try to understand The way other people feel And be less quick to anger And show appreciation more And love the people in our lives Like we've never loved before If we treat each other with respect And more often wear a smile... Remembering that this special DASH Might only last awhile So when your eulogy is read With your life's actions to rehash... Will you be proud of the things they say About how you spent your DASH.

All the best Trish

I didn't know Paul very well.
After reading the posts on here, I can be sure, it is my loss.
I know we bowled the same league for several years, and we always seemed to be on his lanes during the City Tournament, but you wouldn't know we weren't the closest of friends from the way he acted.
He always pretended he was confused as to which twin was which. And always asked the other, "How come you're not as good as your brother?" based on whichever of us beat the other in the set.
But, the one thing I keep remembering is last year at the Hall of Fame Banquet, Trish and Colleen were sitting at "my" table (I'm sure it was just because Judy's table was sold out!!), and as I was thanking everyone for sharing the festivities with me, she told me, that Paul had wanted to come, but was really not feeling well that day. I knew that he had been missing bowling more and more, and that he was undergoing chemo and such, but it just really sank in at that moment, and has stayed with me since last February.
He was a great guy.
The glowing testimonials to him posted here all have the same theme..... And this group has trouble agreeing on almost everything......
Heaven's Bowling League just gained a great teammate and League President.

Sometimes GOD takes someone we all knew and cared for and gives them a higher task to perform. Paul was taken from his family Saturday and he's been given the job of protecting and watching over his family from above. I met Paul several years ago at Hurricane. He alway's had a smile on his face and if you didn't he had one to make you smile and put you in a better mood. He fought a hard fight and I hoped that he would win but he's gone to take on something more important. To serve GOD and make him laugh on the rainy days as he made us laugh everytime we needed one. Trish we'll be at Diamond if you need anything. Rest in peace Paul Jimmy Fields
