Betty McIntyre, 64, passed away Friday, April 13th. She had been battling bone cancer for quite a while.
Betty and her husband, Pasadena Bowling Hall of Fame member Harold (deceased), served the bowlers in Pasadena as Board members of the PWBA and PBA. Betty was an avid bowler, competitive as all get out... I KNOW she bowled some of her best games and series against my teams over the years... even though we had higher averages, she would always bowl well against us and we had a hard time beating her teams... and more often than not we would lose. She would belt out a 230 or 240 and we would always wonder why her average was only 160...
She is survived by 2 daughters, 4 grandsons, her father, 3 brothers, 3 nieces and a host of bowling friends that will miss her dearly.
May she rest in Peace.

My condolences go out to the family. Betty and I always got along. It upsets me when I hear of someone I know that loses their battle with the big "C". It sometimes makes me wonder why I'm still here and not with the others. GOD BLESS.

Kris, I can only imagine the thoughts you have when constantly battling your own illness and seeing so many others in different stages of the battle... God has blessed you. You are able to live and continue the fight... may you continue the fight for many, many years. Love you my brother. David

Our hearts and prayers go out to Betty's family and friends. She will dearly missed.
I know when Harold died she told Jeff and I he went the way he would have wanted to go, bowling, and I know that Betty was surrounded by her family and she went the way she wanted to go. Rest in peace Betty.
We all will remember your "dash".
God bless Betty, her family and all her friends.
