I would say the strongest memories I will always have of Carole is was her loyalty and matter of factness...
When Kris was having his lung surgery a couple or 3 years ago, my brother I drove out to NW Memorial to see him off... several of his close friends had issues with travel arangements or work schedules and couldn't be there, so we drove out and checked in with him... got to see him 1/2 nekkid.... an experience I don't wish to repeat... but back on topic... we visited with his Mom and Dad for a little while after he was wheeled in, and the positive spirit and attitude, mixed in with reality of the situation, and her promise to just "deal with it" sums up what I will remember...
And loyalty... Carole had bowled something like 45 consecutive Knights of Columbus Tournaments, and that same weekend following Kris' surgery she was scheduled to bowl... they had a pow wow, and she was going... there wasn't anything she was going to be able to do for Kris, he was going to be in the hospital... wasn't like he was going to be left home alone... lol
And last but not least, Carole came and volunteered several days during the Mixed State we hosted last fall... selling photos, conducting the "Special Features"... doing her part to support her Association hosting a major tournament...
These few mentions cannot come close to summing up all a person is to each and every one of us individually... but, I am sure these factors were involved in every aspect of "her" and each of us can recognize these aspects in your memories as well.
Mike and I send our deepest condolences as well.
