Alright folks...I left you alone last week, cause this weeks topic is huge. HUGE I SAY! My favorite time of year is right around the corner. That's right Valentine's Day!
I know, many of you dread that day, but here is your thought of the week, but it comes in two themes:
For MOST men: Romance
For MOST women: Patience
Men/Boys/Males:
If you are dating (and if it is a same sex situation I mean to be talking to the one that is the "guy" in the relationship) then you need to think about romance, and more than just so that you can get to the long relationship part and forget romance. Romance is important for the relationship now and forever, if nothing else stays in your brain from this, let this theme stay in your head. Valentine's Day is not about the gifts, but about the romance behind the gift. You are probably not always going to be able to take time off of work, personally deliver flowers to your wife at work(or home or wherever) and they go on an outing with you filled with a nice lunch (picnic), a fun filled day, a romantic dinner (candlelight) and things that I probably cannot write due to TOS regulations...but doing it once in a while is a great idea. Also, try to remember the first place you met, the first place you went out to, etc...women love the fact that you even remember, let alone would take them there again. Being romantic is not something guys are used to doing, but my best advice, remember how you treated her when you really wanted to win her over - if she is still with you, treat her like that again.
Women/Girls/Females:
Have patience with your man. Man only had to show romance in the beginning, never in history have you had such choices. Women were not allowed to divorce, and generally it did not have to be proved that a woman cheated, but let her accuse the man, and it was hell. Men have not been trained for the long romance. I understand that the stories are all full of the man that courted the ladies and finding the one true love of his life, left all others aside, and toiled all his days for her....well somewhere, it happened, once.....a long time ago.......in a galaxy far, far away......get my drift. Most men don't understand the emotional attachment you have to the day you first saw him, that you still have the ticket stub from the first movie you saw together...heck he doesn't even remember the name of it. So when he tries to be more romantic, remember to have patience...and to hint about things...don't expect him to read your mind.
