UPDATE...
Last night they had to take mom to the ER at NW Memorial Hospital due to irregular breathing. She is currently in ICU on a respirator. She's not doing well. I will update again soon.
On another note. We have an appointment with another Nuerologist to do another MRI to check for stroke since mom can't talk or swallow. The ENT said her right larinex is paralized. This is leading us to believe there was actually a stroke. But we will let the doctors make that determination.

UPDATE...
Mom is still in ICU but has been moved to Triumph Acute Rehabilitation Hospital. She is stable and her vital signs are steady. We had to put a trake in her neck so they don't have to keep putting in and taking out a breathing tube when she needs help breathing. She did indeed have a mild stroke at least 4+ weeks ago, but we still don't know what started all of this in the first place. Maybe it was clinical depression, but we may never find out. Keep the prayers coming. Thanks.

Thank you for the updates on both your Mom and Dad. I have also played with your Mom in RJ's and think she is wonderful. Please know that all of us at RJ's are still praying for all of you. I want to say that I do come back often here to see what the progress is so keep up the dupdates Please know that we at RJ's pray that someday they will find what the problem is and be able to fix it so that she may return home and come back to RJ's. We do miss her so much.

Mom is not doing well at all. The doctor told us this morning that she's not responding very well to the meds to keep her stablized and her heart rate is slowly going down. They think it might just be a matter of days to a couple of weeks before she shuts down. We have decided to keep her in ICU the remainder of the week and then move her to a regular room for a week and then to hospice. Mom has always said she doesn't want to be kept alive by machine, so we have followed her wishes and put a Do Not Resesitate level 2 in writing in her medical file. It was a tough decision, but it was made by the entire family. It's going to be a very rough Christmas this year. Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers that you have given our family during these trying times of faith.
