I don't know if any of y'all caught it or not but ESPN 2 I think, had a Bowling Classics marathon this last Sunday. It really brought back some old faces I had forgotten about. Saw my old PBA traveling companion Ed Richardson from Corpus bowling the Austin Open in 94 or 95, can't remember. We traveled together for four stops in January of 86. He hadn't changed much, just gotten a little older, like me....lol.... He didn't do well in the TV finals but he was and I'm sure still is a heck of a bowler...

Saw the Pete McCordic 300 game from Los Angeles... sitting directly behind the lanes next to McCordic's wife was Robert Beck.

I'll see Robert tonight and see if he caught it....

We were talking about that too, we were bowling a tournament somewhere either city or state, not sure which, but I remember the entire bowling center was watching and then cheered like crazy when he did it... it was the first televised 300 game in over 15 years...

In 86, the Los Angeles Open was the second stop in January. I believe Pete did that in 87?.... I think it would be more likely a City Tourn. than State.... State Tourns. have always been later in the year from what I can remember.....

It's possible it might of been Houston's City Tourn. I use to bowl there's a lot back then. I haven't bowled Houston's City Tourns. in a long time since bowling Pasadena's and I didn't bowl but maybe 5 of them during the 90's.
