Well, my left handed career began Tuesday night.
I was ok with how I did... I set a 183 average with a 551 Series. My games were 192, 175, 184. The 175 should have been even better as I opened the 9th and 10th with a Big 4 (thought it struck 1/2 way down the lane, then it jumped) then a 4--6 in the 10th. Threw it too slow.
To brag on myself I threw ZERO gutter balls... but, I had 2 shots I yanked the SHHHIIIIAAAAAAAATTTT out of... 3 on the right on a 4 bagger, and 1 off the right (10 pin) on a double...
Oh well, I concentrate on something too much, I forget to follow through to my mark... sometimes I concentrate extra hard on my mark, and forget to hit the ball...
I'll take a 183 average for now... hopefully it improves.

And I bet you hurt a lot less the day after now....lol...

Well, Danna hasn't shut me out @ Arm I yet... the shot is much better (easier) for me there.
168, 197, 169 , 534
I am still very inconsistent, but, I have to remember, I have been bowling LH for just a couple of months.
Patience is the key.

Jimmy McLaughlin was a 1 man wrecking crew last night.
He had 770+ against us... Daniel Skelton and Jeff Wood contributed their usual 6 or 7 in a row every game...
We got "mowed".
Fraul bowled bad, Garland was at average or a little under, Lorrie struggled. Jaime bowled OK, 1 good game the others at her average.

(geez, do we bowl his team tonight? )

I tried the sore back routine on one of my shots and it didn't work for me...

Well, I had my highest game as a LH last night... 232.
I had to make up for my 140 game 1, w/ a double gutter in the 9th frame after a double, and no spares the game.
No opens after that until the 10th frame of game 3. Missed a 10 pin for a 176, or whatever adds up to 548.

Well... I've hit the wall.
I'm bowling crappy... all week. Yanking every shot... usually...
I guess until I get a little better it's going to be hard to score on the shut out left side of the lanes...
LOL
Just kidding, but I did struggle this week. Making bad shots and missing lots of spares. I did make more of my 7 pins this week... the bad news is I'm leaving them. I also left another 6-8 split last night... Jeeeeeeeeeez... the ball weighs 14#...

Meanwhile, @ Armadilla I the "Pin-a-trators" played position round, in 2nd place. Got off to a less than stellar start... the lanes were slicker on the left... and in keeping with my left handed union contract, I have not had to play a different shot... I'm not supposed to have to... I ended up 2 whole boards left of my usual spot, and playing out around 8-10...
Once I got out there where I needed to be (near the end of my 139 opening game), I had a moment where I can envision myself being decent one day... I was mashing the pocket... I chopped a spare mid game and ended with a 204, but everything was clicking for a while...
Then the 3rd game I was back to alternately yanking and spraying shots all over, but, I was getting fast with the feet, so I slowed down and ended up with a 187, for a 524 series.
We won 3, and are now in a 4 or 5-way tie for 1st. Of course, 1st place on Columbus Day is not nearly as important as 1st place on Memorial Day... we don't bowl 1/4's or even 1/2's in this league... it's a 36 week marathon...
