Meanwhile, @ Armadilla I the "Pin-a-trators" played position round, in 2nd place. Got off to a less than stellar start... the lanes were slicker on the left... and in keeping with my left handed union contract, I have not had to play a different shot... I'm not supposed to have to... I ended up 2 whole boards left of my usual spot, and playing out around 8-10... Once I got out there where I needed to be (near the end of my 139 opening game), I had a moment where I can envision myself being decent one day... I was mashing the pocket... I chopped a spare mid game and ended with a 204, but everything was clicking for a while... Then the 3rd game I was back to alternately yanking and spraying shots all over, but, I was getting fast with the feet, so I slowed down and ended up with a 187, for a 524 series. We won 3, and are now in a 4 or 5-way tie for 1st. Of course, 1st place on Columbus Day is not nearly as important as 1st place on Memorial Day... we don't bowl 1/4's or even 1/2's in this league... it's a 36 week marathon... Still, pretty decent bowling there O'fer....keep it up big guy... ;D

Had a horrible night last night.
We got a SOLID a$$ kicking by 1 bowler on the other team... Ken Sicola... throwing a Gold Rhino Pro... 277, 212, 279... 770 on a ................ 182 average. And that average was after a 680 last week on a 170 something average... He throws the ball pretty good, and it appears with the age of the equipment he was using, he must have just got back into bowling... he's easily a 210 average bowler...
As for me... I had a terrible night... 6 strikes for 3 games... and 1st ball average was 8.... It's usually in the low 7's with my 3 counts and gutters I like to get... but I had none of those last night, and I missed ZERO 7 pins... made all three I left... but, I missed just about evrything else...

I see you had some trade offs with your spares. Get the hard one and miss the easy ones. lol As for getting beat by a low average having a career night, sorry I can't give any comfort there. That is how we have it every Wednesday night.

My new ball showed No Mercy to me last night.. struggled all night long... I shouldn't have bowled.. I needed a little more time... shoulder was a littler balky... awkward picking up the ball... not being able to stretch out my right arm and support the weight... I like bounced it onto my left hand... anyway... I shot 129, 142, 142 I threw 5 or 6 gutter balls on spares... and we lose totals by 10 pins....
Oh well we suck in this league, and we peaked at 5th place on Thanksgiving and ut's been a freefall since then.
Lorrie's shoulder is really only allowing her to bowl once a week... and if she bowls on Thursdays she can't recover in time for the next Tuesday... we are putting MrsMullet on retainer notice and my use her fairly regularly for the rest of the year based on Lorrie Bagwell.... lol

So, the night and morning after have indicated I should have waited until this weekend to bowl... I set myself back a couple of days.. shoulder is aching... like it was last week...
Oh well... that just reinforces the fact that I can't work just yet...

Thought I was going to bust out of my slump last night... started out with a decent 189... then back to normal... 120 something 140 something for a 459 series...
We win 1 game for the 6th consecutive week...
Oh well, I have super incentive to practice now... I have roll-off to get ready for...

crappy night... our team lost 4 in the Position round, got our a$$es kicked actually... how is it 3 bowlers under 200 average could all shoot 650?
I started out bad, finished with a 169 for a 422 series. David Tiner has been telling me to slow my feet down, and it helped. First game was terrible... but, I am still a work in progress... plus, for some reason last night, Jaime's new ball was attracting alot of attention, and I was too... like a freak in a side show... I was getting lots of instructions on what I was doing wrong and what I needed to do to improve... Personally, I think I have MS or Lou Gerigh's disease... or at the very least I am suffering from dumassitis. I guess that is what happens when trying to reason with the unreasonable.

Don't feel bad about the other team shooting 650's against you. I get that every Wed. night, so I feel your pain. Don't forget that the next time you want to practice on a Saturday I can come up and help. I can fix your game or your money back. ;D

Not sure about this Saturday.. the losers are bowling Houston City tournament... I may go watch or I may stay in town for the Youth League @ Armadilla. IF I stay in town, I will most likely bowl a game or 2 around noon. I'll let you know. I would like some help. You're not going to walk out on the lane and hold your finger on the 2nd arrow and tell me to roll over that mark are you? Because with my accuracy issues, I'm not sure anywhere on the lane in front of me is a safe place.... lol

Because with my accuracy issues, I'm not sure anywhere on the lane in front of me is a safe place.... lol If you can correct the issues you have behind the foul line first, it will make you more accurate immediately. Work on your timing, keeping your shoulders and hips square through your approach and not let your left shoulder go back with your arm. It's hard not to do that, when your trying to create ball speed. Consistency and more ball speed will come with more practice and bowling. But get the fundamentals straightened out now so you don't have to correct them later. Get them first to create a consistent roll and reaction on the ball, accuracy and ball speed will come as you get more comfortable bowling left handed...JMO...

Just thought i'd throw this out there.. Ofer I usually go up to arm 1 on sundays and practice after league finishes until they close with the twins Sean and Anthony or some other YABA kids.. But I usually take my video camera and all up there with me so they can see themselves and everyone can work on there game if they want. If it would help you at all with timing or anything to see yourself on camera your more then welcome to come join us.. Although this perticular sunday coming up I probably wont be there.. Think i'm going to go watch the twins bowl the storm shoot out or whatever tournament it is they have.

Honor Score Haven @ our league last night.
Congrats to Cassidy Clark (300), Oscar Melgham (300), and Karen Roberts (299).
At least I bowled my average... or right at it. And the team split 2-2, so that's a bonus too.
