Still struggling... got bad news from USBC Headquarters too... the way the rules are set, you use your highest book average with no difference if you are RH or LH. So, last year, I finished with a 170 RH average, and am carrying a 160 LH this year. They told me they "never" grant relief for only 10 oins so I would be wasting my time gathering the needed information and Doctors note and applying for relief...
So, that affects my team I was putting in Division 2 for this Saturday... we go into Division 1 with my 170... and there is no way I am competitive in that Division... I'm shooting 450 to 480 on a good day... so I am going to try to find a sub that is really a Division 1 bowler and I will help run brackets...

That bites on USBC's ruling....it doesn't seem right....Are all the other members on your team Div 1 bowlers? or did you mean to find a lower avg. bowler than 170 so your team can stay in Div. II?

I'm not sure yet... I'm fishing for a bowler... If I wasn't already bowling Team twice already and Doubles twice, I might of considered myself.... but I'm bowling City enough and as it is I'm breaking my own ethics of bowling Team and Doubles events more than once.... but it's hard to turn down a chance to bowl doubles with Jimbo and with a team with Jimbo, Long Jr. and Falco...

Well, there are brackets and stuff offered, so we can't beat the multiple participation horse anymore... it's been beat to death already...

I know and I agree... wasn't trying to bring that back up..... It seems that many City's Open Championships these days are opening it up to multiple entries with stipulations similar to how Pasadena is doing their's.... It's just one more thing I'll have to get over and deal with....lol...

When I was carrying both a LH & RH averages, I was able to use whichever one I wanted to bowl with in a tournament. I actually bowled a KC Int'l and a KC State Mixed with a LH average. I don't think you need a doctor's note.

What about Dave DeMay that bowls on Wednesday nights in the Spare Time Mixed that had to switch to LH...What average is he having to come in on for the tournament? That is if he is bowling.

Dave has applied for relief from USBC.... I think his average adjustment is more like 180 something to 140 something... he's been bowling really well lately too... better than me and that is what is discouraging to me... for me that is... I'm proud of him... I just have been focusing more on Associaiton stuff as opposed to scoring...

Had my best night as a LH tonight... 192, 190, 203= 585
On my 160 average. I opend the 10th fram the 2nd and 3rd games, or I could have actually had a 600 series.
This also makes 4- 500 series in a row. I had 565, 508 during the City tournament, 503 in Armadilla dollars last night and then my series tonight.

Great bowling PBA, it won't be long before that 600 series comes...
