Well, there was a LH on my pair last night, but he is maybe 190 avg... he said he left a million 7 pins... he was shooting alot of them, but, I wouldn't call him an elite bowler...
My equipment may not be matching up to the condition either... most of my stuff is drilled to go long and snap, to compensate for inaccuracy, but, I may need to drill something that will hook more...

I'm thinking of getting a new ball to, when I can get the extra money. Not sure what ball I want to get yet but I'm leaning towards a drill pattern that's made for over/under reacting lane conditions. I'm not seeing that as much now at Arm I, but a little.....but I'm still fighting it a lot at Arm II...

You could try having some of the side weight taken out with an axis hole on one of your balls now, instead of buying a new one...

That's not a bad idea, but, all of my equipment is similar... Doom, Punisher, Bash... all medium to dry condition mid-level priced balls...
I may get a more hooking ball and see what happens...

Just try it on a ball you like the least and haven't been throwing much if any ..... maybe you'll end up liking it better, if not, you really haven't lost anything since your not throwing it much anyways....JMO...

AMF Diamond was pretty bad last night. As a team we squeaked out 3, but I had a ton of problems the first game. Couldn't find anything with the U-turn or the GB Rule. In the 10th frame I pulled out the trusty u-dot and struck out for a 155. Went on the shoot 212, 225 for 592 series. Right now the lanes have been pretty weird out there. Outside 7 on the right side is OB, so you generally try and play deep and tight. Last night that wouldn't work, but alot of it was me, too.

We split as a team last night, winning the 2nd game and totals. John Ubias shot a very nice 299 game leaving a 6 pin on his last ball. (it went through the beak, 2nd game).... We remained 1 game out of first because the 1st place team split as well...
I had a good night shooting games of 231, 237 and 258 for a 725 series and high on the pair. Won 2 of 4 brackets and the Eliminator. I'm starting to bowl better again each week. Shot 681 Monday and 686 Tuesday night at Arm II this week. I may be coming out of my slump.... yeppie...lol... ;D

High Hopes took over 1st Place in the Oxy League last Thursday in position round at Arm I winning all 4 games. (Was off Friday and didn't get a chance to post that day).
Started off slow with a 201 game, then bounced back with a 244 and 259 for a 704 series, if I remember correctly. Hopefully that will be enough to qualify for the All-Star Tourn.
Think I'm getting out of this funk I've been in the last few months. Went 703, 794, 704 for last week between Arm II and Arm I and avg. 244.55 for the week.... +401 for 9 games, I'll take that anytime...

High Hopes dropped 4 games to Rusty Ransdell's team last night and dropped out of first place. Oh well, we'll get it back next week...
Lanes were very slick again last night but started off ok, shooting 243 my first game opening in the 10th leaving a 2-10 split. Went 213 my second game then 194 my third for a 650 series. We were on 17 & 18, normally a very high scoring pair but not last night. The oil from 10 to 10 carried all the way down to the pin decks and outside of 10 got squirrelly as the night went on. I never seen my team leave so many washouts.
If I'm having trouble getting my ball to hook, I know that 98% of the bowlers at Arm I is having trouble as well. They really need to shorten the mid-lane run and speed it up. The oil is just too heavy and is being carried all the way down to the pin deck inside of 10th board and is causing outside of ten to get inconsistent reaction after the 1st game....Just my opinion, for what it's worth. I tried moving in deeper with more aggressive equipment but just wrapped 10 pins from my ball hooking too late and was over/under reacting to.

I guess Perfect knows more than Kegel since the shot that is out now is what Kegel put in the machine last week.

I guess Perfect knows more than Kegel since the shot that is out now is what Kegel put in the machine last week. I know all about the Brunswick Rep. coming out to Arm II, I didn't know the Kegal Rep. was out at Arm I. I don't know if he threw a ball on the lanes after changing up the shot. And I doubt he hung around to sub in a league with 10 bowlers on it for three games either..... I'm sure you know as well as I do, that even the lane reps. suggestions and findings have to be tweeked a little sometimes after a houses regular better bowlers bowl on them.... Arm II's shot in my opinion is being oiled too heavy and too far down the lanes... was getting the same problems Tuesday night last week..... and I gave Jimbo my feedback on it as well... They can leave them like they are or they can tweek with it a little... As always, it's up to Randy and sometimes Jimbo if they want to do anything about it...... I'll go out and do my best what ever the shot is, I just know that bowlers are happier when they are averaging what they are use to for the last so many years and now they are not....

Being that I will be getting my big chemo treatment on 12-7, I probably won't be there to work the All-star tourney on 12-8 or the 12-9 board meeting.
