Thanks guys and kudos to James Long Jr. he bowled very well this weekend. I was with in 10 or 15 pins in All-Events of him going into Singles and our pair went to crap. Oh well, it happens. We did have more bowlers on our pair than any of the other pairs and this could have contributed to the heads and track frying the way it did. Shot 702 in Team, 752 in Doubles and a big whopping 548 in Singles to give y'all an idea how bad our pair got. (2002 All-Events) But even if they stayed good, I would have had to shot an 800 to over take Jr. in All-events and that would have been very unlikely. Again great bowling Jr.

that is great bowling James!!! There is another weekend, and i don't want to say no one can beat you, but it's an awfully high score to shoot for! that will probably be a record for many many years!! He constantly is bowling to people's amazement. He is very humble, very nice and i have NEVER heard him complain about ONE THING - not the lanes, how the tournament is run, never complains, just bowls - he is friendly, funny and great to be around - just like his mom and dad. I am very happy and proud for James. I mean, he just keeps doing things that are almost hard to believe. if it doesn't go as well as he would like, he knows you can't be on your game 100% of the time, and he takes the good with the bad. I knew it was going to be one of the guys on his team that would do this, and i am just so glad it was him!!!!!!!!!!!! great bowling - awesome
the tournament was run very well, especially for just a few guys around. when you are bowling city tournament though, i don't think you should have to work, but when it's over it would be nice to offer to help in any capacity. being a board member is a thankless job. I was going to go sunday to watch my friends and others bowl, and help Hofer, but i was sidelined to the bed with a migraine, worse one i have had in years - i hated missing the great bowling!!
congrats to jeremy and jeff and Roger for big games during the tournament!

Again great bowling Jr. #owned2# I made my goal for the tournament. I finished all 9 games without hurting my knee and I beat perfect by more than one #thcheerleader# I guess I need to raise the bar on whom I want to beat #SmlyROFL# As for Diamond the shot I thought was good I averaged 224 there for a nine game total of 2014. I had 2042 for my first nine in city so overall the shot wasn't unplayable. I also reached another goal I lost 10 pounds while bowling Sunday afternoon #party-smiley-017# I heard from a RELIABLE source that the A.C. on the high end wasn't working. I guess some things will never change. Overall I'm pleased with my scores and our team leading divison 2 after 1 week and me and Jeremy in 3rd for doubles so far. There were some good scores and some people found it easy to quit with one game to go #stupid# I guess the real troopers hung around til the end and didn't haul ass as soon as the ball was in the bag!!! You know who you are so I won't mention any names #gossip#

You know who you are so I won't mention any names #gossip# If you were on our pair at Diamond that first set Sunday, you wouldn't had beaten me...I don't go from shooting 702, 752 to 548 because I all of a sudden forgot how to bowl or started throwing it like shiat. Our pair was crap after Doubles and the bowlers that left early, were mostly if not all from that piece of crap pair for Singles we were on. Let's get real here, I was averaging 242.33 a game going into Singles and I averaged 182.66. The heads were fried, the back ends had major oil carry down...we had nothing. With just a 690 for Singles, I would have had a 2144 All-Events. This is just another year of getting screwed as far as I'm concerned... You add it being hot in there and Diamonds normal incompetence with the shot, the Assoc. putting more people on our pair than anyone else's and not thinking it could put us at a disadvantage...it's no wonder City Tourn. entries are down......and probably continue to keep going down...JMO.... Neither center had the normal house shot out. Armadilla was dryer than normal and Diamond was different from what they normally are, according to everyone that bowls league over there and they were different from the mlba tourn. I had just won two weeks ago or so.......The houses are just as much to blame for the declining entries of our City Tourn. as anything else is....JMO....

Trust me Perfect, your pair was not the only pair who had people quit during singles. The heads were getting fried on other pairs, too. Jimmy and Long, Jr both loft the ball is why they didn't have the problems that we had. Jimmy or Long Jr could have been on your pair and the fried heads wouldn't have bothered their game. JMO

Jimmy and Long, Jr both loft the ball is why they didn't have the problems that we had. Jimmy or Long Jr could have been on your pair and the fried heads wouldn't have bothered their game. JMO That of which you are talking about is true but keep in mind we had 8 bowlers on our pair for Doubles. Which meant the Heads being fried, Track being fried and oil carry down was worse on our pair, more than any other. Plus our approaches were worse, from the heat, more use and being further to the high end than y'alls and Jr's by one pair....All of these factors play in to how a pair breaks down and how scorable or unscorable a pair will be....JMO.... I'm not saying JR. or XBOM couldn't of beaten me on that pair.... I'm just saying, they would have shot a lot less for Singles than what they did, if they were both on our pair....JMO.... There was some talent on our pair as well....Lane conditions dictate scores, period....

I bowled both shifts at Arm I Saturday and the shot was 100% different from 1st to 2nd shift. I went 588 first shift and then went 667 second shift. The one thing that I have noticed at Arm I is how different one lane is compared to the other. If both lanes are slick or hooking I don't mind as long as the are the same. As for the shot at Diamond, the shot was scoreable. I think it was better than Arm I. You just had to be consistant with where you hit and with your speed. I went 690 and 611. I should have done better in singles, but I was getting tired and didn't move fast enough.
