did smurf let purfect carry his balls to the car after they were finished bowling? i can hear the conversation now. purfect said, "i couldnt bowl as well as you mr. smurf because i was paying close attention to you so much that i didnt realize i was playing the lanes wrong, you know what i mean mr smurf, i wasnt lined up to trip the 4 pin. smurf, you know i could have beat you in totals if i tripped an extra 4 pin each game. then smurf said, "im still not going to give you a tip for taking my balls to the car, really, now go back to pasadena and leave me alone.

Unfortunately, even mr. perfect is not immune to the bad habits and lack of accuracy that naturally occurs when competing on easy conditions. It just doesn't help when you go bowl on a demanding shot that all you have bowled on is 2 of the easiest scoring conditions around. The lefthanders have been taking advantage of the conditions at the tournament this year, so it is no big surprise that Smurf cleaned up.

PBA, there is a lot of truth in your comment as far as bowling on easy stuff 99.9% of the year and then going to a demanding condition like Nationals..... I basically had two bad games that cost-ed me a lot of pins.... the 159 game in Team and the 158 game in Doubles... The lanes changed quickly this year and I didn't make my moves fast enough... Carry was tougher than in other years as well.... Two stone 8 pins and a stone 9 in Doubles. I was leaving the half pocket 7 pin a lot in Team. In Singles I marked 29 frames out of 30, and it was a driving pocket 8 - 10, no one on the pair could believe it and it cost-ed me in the 30 clean pot. By Singles, I was swinging 4th arrow with my Triton Heat and throwing it pretty hard.... Hit the pocket a lot, just couldn't carry.... mostly having problems with 4 pins and 7 pins.... had little trouble getting the 10 pin out.... Smurf is a great bowler, he throws the ball great. But when he is allowed to bump the gutter for 9 games and not have to contend with heads frying and the shot breaking down, he going to knock more pins down. His carry percentage is higher from out there, than having to play inside like us righties had to.... But still I should have done better than I did, played the wrong line in Team and caught a bad pair in Doubles.... but that's the way it goes.... I did beat all the righties that went us, so I guess I can feel a little proud about something.....lol... I think I did beat all the Pasadena Hall of Famers that went this year to....lol... But I do that almost every year at Nationals....but I guess it don't count for anything....

You can't count beating me as beating a PBA HOFamer I bowled 7 games on 1 leg and still have to wear a knee brace after sticking at Nationals and that was 4 1/2 months ago #smileys-gif-127_0# You bowled about like I thought you would but hindsight is 20/20 How did you do in brackets?

I guess Smurf is much better at playing outside and carrying than Charlie is... maybe Falco was worrying too much about mr. p's struggles to concentrate on his own game... Plus, I don't know how anyone can believe mr. p's excuse that he "caught a bad pair for doubles"... these lanes are built exclusively for the tournament, out of new materials and certified by USBC staff to ensure compliance... how can a pair be considered "bad" after such limited use... and I guess mr. p researched the lanes and scoring tendencies for what, about 1/2 an hour plus his own bowling to come to the conclusion he caught a bad pair... Yah right... I don't buy it.

Nothing to do with perfect specifically but I was down there while the two Jungle teams bowled and took a few video clips of em if anyone wants to see what kinda shot they were throwing and all. media.putfile.com/Various-local-bowlers-at-NationalsJust some random shots of different people from the two teams. I wish I had some of myself but my fiance isn't exactly the best at using a video camera and left about 30mins into our bowling

I thought perfect said he was having to play 4th arrow. I guess I need to relearn where 4th arrow is.

I tried to be nice to the bowlers and only show there "good shots". That way people could see what WAS working in a way for em. I just loved perfects reaction to the 4-6 where he just stood there like he saw a ghost so I had to throw it in. That was mainly all on team, think I had a couple shots from singles/doubles at the end. But perfect was throwing 4th during singles/doubles.

In their defense, however, they caught bad pairs for their Team, doubles AND singles. Some of the local bowlers you did not beat include Jeremy Evans, 280th in Singles ($400 =/-) also will cash for about $80 each in Team, he had 1800+ with a 520 in doubles, and Bobby Browder had a consistent 1845 in AE... But, as you say, anybody can be beat on any given day, unless it's Smurf with an outside shot and all other righties playing 4th arrow.

I also shot 1845 in allevents I am goin to hopefully cash in 3 events... And also I am one of those who voted correctly on Mr.P's score!!! So when I get old enough for Pasadena Hall of Fame does it mean I can put I beat Jeff Clark at Nationals in 2006 on my resume!!!

Falco is a great bowler to.... but he does not like an outside shot as well as he likes an inside shot... plus he's been in a slump and not throwing the ball very well lately.... As far as the bad pair comment, after 5-1/2 months of continuous use, racks can get off a little.... but my reference to a bad pair was in reference to who we followed in Team event.... there was 3 boards difference in the pair (11 & 12) and if a team is playing all over the lanes before you, you can be bowling on some pretty squirrelly crap...JMO...
