Perfect: I don't know how to capture a previous post from someone so I just copied and pasted one of yours below. I was just wondering in reference to your statement below..., :oIf so, the Assoc. needs to re-think this, since most of the entries in the Open Championship is Division I bowlers. Make it a high game pot for the 2nd game and handicap it 90% of 210 or even 220 and make a score of 300 with or without handicap as the highest score possible. I think you would get more entries that way in the Open Tourn. that is dominated by Div. I bowlers...JMO... " Do you think "Division I" bowlers have been vaccinated or are mysteriously unable to get breast cancer? My goodness, it is a buck! And who knows, anyone can win!!!! Even the "lesser perfects" of the bowling world. My mother was stricken with breast cancer so GOD BLESS THE PASADENA ASSOCIATION for finding a worthy cause!

I can understand mr. perfect explaining his chances of winning are slim based on his average, and the fact that he can only bowl 69 pins over max... so he does have a handicap on that part of the competitiion. HOWEVER.... in order to bowl 2243... which would best Jimbo's score by 1 pin, he will need to average 249/ game... which will probably include some 270+ games along with 230+, high 220 games. The odds for mr. p to bowl OVER his average is greater than for a less capable bowler... Let me explain the Bowl for the Cure Ceremony at the National Convention... they sell pink glow stix for the attendees to twirl or wave... everyone is seated... they ask breast cancer survivors to stand and wave their stix... then they ask for alll with family members affected to stand and wave their stix... then it's friends of victims... then eventually they ask for everyone that wants breast cancer sured to stand and wave their sticks... then... selected Breast cancer survivors or victims walk the annual donation check for hundreds of thousands of dollars down the centr aisle of the center... and they present over 1/2 million dollars of bowler's donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation... It is IMPOSSIBLE to not be crying or be overwhelmed with emotions during this event... www.bowl.com/cure/main.aspxwww.bowl.com/cure/video/promo2007.htmlI've added a couple of links to bowl.com's Bowl for the Cure page... After seeing the ceremony for the first time last year in Orlando, I wanted the Greater Pasadena USBC Association to be recognized for OUR bowler's donations to the BVL and the Bowl for the Cure.. I didn't want our bowler's money to be sent to Texas Women's whatever and be lumped in with all their money... I wanted OUR association's name to be hgihlighted individually during the names of contributors... regardless of whether it was $100 or $1,000... I just felt like OUR bowlers should be identified for their efforts by having OUR association name listed as the contributor.

Even the "lesser perfects" of the bowling world. My mother was stricken with breast cancer so GOD BLESS THE PASADENA ASSOCIATION for finding a worthy cause! I will be entering for Team event to do my part and like I said Breast Cancer research is a very worthy cause. My Mom has had it and had to have recontructive surgery because of it. So I know all to well how important this research is. Like PBA said in a previous post, many are entering for Team as a donation but some are not putting up the money for D & S. They are feeling that they gave already and don't want to donate again. I was only thinking that if more bowlers felt like they had a better chance of winning, they might enter again the second day. And speaking as a scratch bowler in Div. I, (which most of the bowlers are for this Tourn.) I think that many of them may feel the same way as I do and might be more inclined to get in the second day (at least I would be), if they were able to look upon this as a better chance to win a little money for a 4.00 investment and not look upon it, as another donation only, with little chance of winning..... But I have no way of knowing if doing that way would bring in more money or not, I just know it would from me....

The results will be posted by the middle of the week. We ran into problems trying to reconcile the scores in the program correctly. There is an error in the set up apparently, or we are selecting an option incorrectly somewhere.. it is ommitting some scores and tripling others.... Headquarters wants the tournament data uploaded for them to examine and they will tell us how to correct the problem. Melissa can't upload it from her work so she is sending it tonight, they will have it tomorrow and then maybe we can get it to Paula and have it uploaded onto the site... byWednesday... It's always something... we promoted the website all weekend and then there is a snafu with the standings and they arent listed until 3 days or so later.... C R A P!! Here's all you need to know biatches... rjj and I are leading Division 3 doubles by approximately 150 pins. Add another City Championship to my resume' if the score holds up... PBA, you should get someone to post it up on the web site that the tournament program had an error and as soon as it is fixed the standing will be updated.

I bowled OK overall for the tournament. Shot 244-219-193=656 for team; 208-217-233=658 for doubles; 267-277-248=792 for singles and 2106 for all events. Had a chance at the 800, but had a 7 pin stand on the first ball in the 10th. It was a little light and almost left a split, but it wasn't as bad as is it looked and could have carried. Nice shooting over the weekend. You did shoot well. I wish we would have had the carry ya'll had on your pair. I left 19 10-pins sunday and only missed 1 of them...lol...bonus. My carry percentage was less than 50% for the day and wasn't a whole lot better at Diamond. I still managed to shoot 1900+, but was disappointed at my overall score. I felt I threw the ball better than 1900. Oh well, there's always my other tournaments I have coming up soon.

Did you already spend that BONUS check you got for christmas??? Hell yes...lol..... My bills a month are quite a bit more than many... besides, how often have you seen me drink on Tuesday night this year?.... I drank probably 75% of the year in this league last year. I drink less than a 1/3 of this league this year.... It's not the money, I just don't like POA (pins over average) type events... They are meant for lower average bowlers. I don't get in handicap brackets because they are meant for bowlers that have handicap. And when you have a Tourn. that has more entries in the 205 and up category (Div. I), then these special events should be geared towards this level of bowlers, not those in other categories....JMO.... What happened to catering to the majority?....Or does that mean, except when the majority is 205 and up bowlers?.....

My pin was the 4. I think I left about 14 of the them, I can 't remember off the top of my head. And thats not counting the ones I tripped. ;D I was talking to the Bom last night and he said the samething. We was about to start calling me MrP.

Hey Mr President...of all the entries for this years tournament, how many are 205+ and how many are 204-? Please settle this issue ASAP...lol

Division I again, has the most entries..... and this could be the case for the last 3 years...

I just know Division 1 and Division 2 entries are the most... which kind of makes the most pins over average a moot point... there aren't that many lower average entries to bowl over their average by so much... lol Plus, the winners have been Division 1 and 2 bowlers every time.. no Division 3 or 4 entries have won it yet..
