You might wanna drill up a raw hammer pain!!!!! i was thinking since you like the doom so much that maybe the pain would be good for you also, handles carry down and is a few boards strong in oil handling than the raw hammer doom. Alot of folks say its the best 1-2 combo going right now.

Alot of folks say its the best 1-2 combo going right now. I might do it!! I do like Hammer equipment and the Doom has been a bit flaky lately when the oil carries down as far as carry, especially on 10 pins. I'm hoping baking some of the oil out and cleaning the surface and putting a little polish on it will bring it back to life.... but having the new "Pain" sounds like it would be a good option to have...

Bought a new spare ball last night. My old one was chipping around the fingers and thumb. But Jimbo is going to repair and plug the ball. I've asked him to donate the cost of the ball to a YABA bowler that may need one. The only cost they should have, would be for Jimbo cost for plugging and drilling for their hand. So if anyone knows of a YABA bowler needing one, please let them know, it's 15 lbs......

The place I go for lunch has a new menu with lots of salads on it. It's time for me to cut way back on the drive thru burgers and other fast foods....lol... Tomorrow I'll be on the higher end of my 40's and closer to 50... dang, getting old sux...lol...

Sanctions are now known as certifications, and along with YABA, those seem to be the hardest part of the bowling vocabulary to change... I still say Sanction and YABA myself... it's tough to change....

Screwed.. been looking at a few balls on line today and wanted your opinion on them. I'm looking for a medium to dry lane ball. I've been using my Hammer Blade for that of recent years and it's time to retire it...lol...I'm looking for a ball that will hook as much as the Blade at most, prefer to get something that goes a little straighter but still have a little pop on the back ends.
I would like to know your thoughts on the following balls. Columbia Fear Columbia Dr. Jekyll Columbia Wrath Roto Grip Mercury Ebonite Whirlwind...a Jeremy suggestion Brunswick Smokin Inferno with the white pins. Jimmy Y. says that the ones with the white pins, the cover stock cured too fast and are a little harder cover stock than the regular ones and go longer.
Would appreciate any info you have on the above balls...

They all have weak covers on them. The whirl wind would be a good choice also. I believe the whit pin smokeings are around 60-70 bucks with coupon and promotional codes. www.bowlingball.com/Bowling-Ball-4720/brunswick-smokin--inferno-white-pin---bowlingball-com-exclusive.htmlI would recomend the rxs300 (ebonite) sr300 (ebonite) vibe blue or purple (hammer) mercury, ~~~~> crisis pearl (dyno thane/great ball for dry) mo rich sahara and desert heat from track.

The above balls are touted as the best of the best drier lane balls with sr300 and rxs300 being the closest to your blade in reaction and the others for the drier/dry stuff.

I think Charlie Mills has a rxs300 and he likes his a lot....you feel it's about the same as my Blade or a little stronger or weaker?

Well I am not entirely sure on if its stronger or weaker than your blade but it does have some pink color in it so it should fit you lol. I think charlie has the sr300 and I think the rsx300 is a little longer but they are both longish by nature with there core dynamics being in the medium to medium high rg range wich means the ball will have more natural push for you.

You need to decide if you want a true dry lane ball or just something under your doom and horizon. The doom and horizon are lower rg balls (earlier reving) with high differentials (higher flaireing) Your blade is a pearl with a medium to medium low rg (2.50) and medium diff .40 medium to medium low flair core. So decide exactly what your looking for here and then we will go from here. I can put a layout on the ball that will make the strongest balls not want to hook lol.

True, I probably need two balls, a true dry lane ball and another one to replace my Crunch Time and Blade. Those two balls react close to the same but since Jimbo resurfaced both of them, the Crunch Time finishes a little stronger. And if Arm II is going to stay a little slicker than what we've had, the need for a true dry lane ball can wait a bit ...IMO... I think I need another ball drilled up similar to the Horizon you did for me but with a tamer cover stock and maybe a little higher RG. and I'm open to all suggestions and Manufacturers.

Hmmm did you think about the horizon solid? Its just been released a few weeks ago. rotogrip.com/balls_horizon_solid.aspx Personaly how do you feel about brunswick balls? If you can wait a week or 2 the tottal inferno should be out and all I have heard is great things about it. It will be every bit as good as the original inferno trust me on this one. But if Big b is not your style then lets keep the door open for something else. I dont think your man enough to throw the angular one, would probably be to much ball for your mighty fluff, But you need a solid reactive in your bag but either of the 2 above would work well even though they are pearls and then we have the ball I first suggested wich is the RAW HAMMER PAIN same weight block as your doom but a solid earlier rolling cover, seems to be a great 1-2 punch for alot of people www.hammerbowling.com/products/balls/detail.php?PRKey=53 www.hammerbowling.com/products/balls/index.php . www.trackbowling.com/gear/balls.cfm?bid=57
