Pretty much the same thing we experienced tuesday on 1&2 @ II, started off hooking then carry donw and the back ends got tight. Never found the right angle to carry consistent pocket shots and threw a few bad and had to make up for the transition every other frame. Not to worried about it even though we got a beat down lol. Next week we will see how it goes. I could understand if it was from carry down, but it was that way from the beginning. One time its right in the pocket, next time it skids, next time it hooks off the lane. I never knew what to expect. I wasn't the only one that noticed. One of the guys on the other team was saying the same thing. I'm just throwing this out for discussion and a possible reason of last Tuesday's shot. The middle two wicks were replaced last Tuesday earlier in the day......It's possible that the wicks were not saturated fully since they were new. This could have possibly caused the inconsistency we were experiencing. If this was the cause, then next Tuesday's shot, should be better with a weeks worth of oiling of the lanes....Just a thought...

I did hear that the machine broke down and they were stripping and oiling by hand. I can't confirm this, but it could be one reason for the inconsistency last night.

My response was meant more towards "screwed" on comments he made about Arm II.

I was told the vaccum pump went out in the machine at I, they couldnt strip the lanes from wha tI understood.
Yea I agree that the shot should be better this coming week.

Well, that explains why I bowled so bad on Tuesday night... and just in case, NOTHING was wrong with the machine, apparently, my game is so finely out of tune, I could predict future poor scoring conditions....

The vaccuum pump went out Monday at Arm 1 it was replaced Tuesday morning! Before the center opened to run lanes! Shouldn't have had any problems after the pump was changed! My theory was that somebody said the lanes were done by hand on Monday and it affected the way you bowled it happens all the time! As soon as somebody hears something happened to one pair it affects all 16 pairs not just the only one that had the problem As for replacing the center 2 wicks I hadn't heard that they did or didn't But knowing the procedure for changing wicks listen up! This is from the Fenix manual and from Tom Brown AKA SUPER LANEMAN! When changing to "HIGH FLOW WICKS" they must be saturated in the lane oil for 2 hours. So if Jimbo did change the wicks he did around NOON! The lanes were not ran again until 4:30 that afternoon. After Jimbo runs the lanes he cleans the fenix and sets it down in the back so the lane oil will be at the bottom of the oil tank and the wicks will saturate until the nexttime the machine is used. So by simple math the wicks saturated somewhere around 4 hours which should be plent of time for the wicks to soak up enough oil

The other reason I know the lanes had something wrong with them was that Eric Dove (for anyone that knows him) was striking.

Working conditions. I could get a picket sign and strike at my job..... lol

Screwed you just need to concentrate harder Tuesdays are the days you get edumakated about lane conditions, how the pins look when they actually are on spot and what the approaches are sliding like Concentrate son concentrate
