Just an FYI...JimBo will get with R.R. to see if this will be permitted. R.R. makes all decisions when there is extra curricular activities going on in his centers. The shot will be discussed and JimBo will be the only one privy to the condition laid down if it is approved by R.R. NOHOOK doesn't work on Saturday mornings so JimBo would be the one calling that shot at Randy's approval. There are expenses when blocking out lanes such as oil, paper for the machine and cleaner. Open play must also be considered. JimBo will speak to Randy before the weekend. In all reality, the games should be bowled on lanes 23-32. That way, neither bowler has an advantage as the men's league did not use these pairs. I imagine if approved by R.R., he will also determine lineage and start time. By discussing the proposed events with R.R., no Armadilla II employee gets themself in trouble. I don't care what pairs we use.....11:00 am start is fine with me. Eddie and I have already agreed to normal house shots. So we aren't expecting or wanting anything different but it don't matter. We're only bowling 5 games each, so why is Randy charging us 4.00.. a game per person?.....Figured we would get a better rate than that, especially since I bowled two leagues there last year and Eddie bowled 1. He can't do any better than that for us?....

Just out of curiosity Perfect...why does it matter so much where the money comes from just as long as it is there for the taking? You might feel more pressure bowling on your own money, but that doesn't mean someone else shares that same idea! In all the years that JimBo has bowled, he presses harder when having a backer as to not let them down or waste their money. That is a chance the backer must be willing to take. I'm sure Paul Marcassio would have something to say about the pressures of backing and being backed! JMO This was a challenge made to me by Eddie with amounts set by Eddie....So I feel that he should put "his" wallet where his mouth is, not someone "elses" wallet where his mouth is... It's a matter of principle to me.....If your going to to talk big, then back it up yourself, that includes the money as well...JMO... ;D

As far as the money issue is concerned ,I am going to consider that a dead issue.I have given you my word that it will be my money and you said my word is good enough for you.As far as I am concerned the lineage is fair enough considering they are oiling 5 pair of lanes that they would not normally oil on a Saturday. If we can put up $1000.00 over ten games we can surely put up $40.00 each for lineage. My only advice for you Perfect is practice, practice, practice.I'll see you on the 26th of August.

Thanks for clearing that up Jeff. I was just wondering!
Also, in case you missed it...Diamond is charging the same price! Not only are you paying lineage, you are paying for 20 lanes to be oiled that would not normally be dressed on a summer Saturday morning, using cleaner, oil and paper. You are also paying each center to block ten lanes for your use. And one more point, neither of you are Armadilla II league bowlers this summer. Just sayin'.
And to Perfect and Wine, the word "linage", is linEage.

i think the challenge is cool, and it has generated an interest in bowling for people - but i would be d**ned if i would pay 4.00 a game at these houses yall bowl and drink and spend money at like a kid walking in off the street. i swear to God almighty, no wonder this sport is so buffoonish at times!!!! oil and paper and employees time dressing the lanes is the COST OF DOING BUSINESS for a bowling center. that's why the price is so high - supposedly, for those things. you are not supposed to be charged the price that includes these overhead items, plus the overhead items - they are holding a how to run a small business class at San Jac in the fall, someone affiliated with these centers should go to it. I will say this, the owners of the Armadilla houses get their monies worth with RR because he gets any and everyone at every chance. THat is a good manager. Screw loyalty and friends and common courtesy for the sport, get that last dollar - i wonder if he a republican? LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Ever since I read they had to pay $20 at each house I thought it was pretty pathetic. I mean oiling the lanes? boohoo, do it regurlarly to keep your lanes from being fried and letting your league bowlers practice on real shots and not coming in having to bowl on toast. God forbid you have to do something regurlarly that's part of the business you're in. You might just generate more money in the long run by having something worth practicing on so people would actually WANT to come in and practice. Oh and lets not forget that this I can gurantee you will draw atleast SOME kind of crowd to witness the contest. So how many drinks/snack bar orders are you getting because of efb and mr. perfect that normally you probably wouldn't? Prices are getting pretty sad, my teammates went to arm 2 on a sunday thinking it would be like arm 1 and have cheap games. They said they payed like $4 a game, the snack bar prices were outragious and they just plain didn't like it and wont be going back. If I manage to get up early enough to go watch I know i'll be there and I also know I wont be spending any money on a single thing in either house. I'll only be there to watch efb and mr. perfect and you will be making enough money off there lineage. If I want a drink i'll run down to a gas station and get me one.

And to Perfect and Wine, the word "linage", is linEage. Rusty said he oils the lanes Friday night before he leaves, so we weren't expecting the lanes to be oiled again Saturday morning before we bowled. Plus Rusty wasn't sure if he could set aside 5 pairs of lanes. Setting a side 3 pairs would be plenty. We're just going to move pairs each game. If we catch two of the same pairs, that's fine with me, if it's fine with Eddie... As far as Diamond, since Eddie works there, I assumed he will make the arrangements there with Daniel. And I'm sure if Arm II became more reasonable with the lineage they are charging us, I'm sure Diamond will follow suit. EMFB, could you talk with Daniel about the lineage he's charging us. I feel 4.00 a game is a bit steep, especially considering the people we'll be bringing to watch us.... ;D

Also, there will be no need for anyone else to hold the money while we're bowling. Eddie and I have known each other and been friends long enough to trust each other. The one who loses can pay off at the completion of bowling at Diamond.... If that's alright with you EMFB?... ;D

I'll only be there to watch efb and mr. perfect and you will be making enough money off there lineage. If I want a drink i'll run down to a gas station and get me one. Orca I made the mistake and went into a Walgreens the other day in Pasadena and bought 3 packs of cigarettes thinking the price would be the same as the other walgreens I go to which is also in Pasadena. The one charged $8.92 the other one charged $9.24 #smileys-gif-127_0# WTF they were both in Pasadena taxes are the same why are the prices different #batte_fou# Armadilla 1 is having a price war with Diamond which is the only reason that their Sunday bowling is only $1.50 per game #throwrock# And as for your friends asking Robbie at the desk the prices for league bowlers at Arm one for Arm 2 bowling I can't answer that . I know Arm 1 had a Texas Ten Pin Tournament recently which used their lanes on the weekends and some Arm 1 bowlers may have gone to Arm 2 to practice. If they weren't given league rates it's because the DIDN'T OR DON'T bowl league at Arm 2. Armadilla 1 and 2 may be owned by the same people have and have the same General Manager but the prices are structured for the area of town that they are in. If Arm 1 charged $4 per game on the weekends it would be a "GHOST CENTER" Nobody would be there with a center a few miles away charging $1.25 per game. To give you an example this past friday night From 5:30 p.m. until Midnight I ran $1700 in open play. #help# The customers we have at Arm 2 will pay $4 per game and they'll pay it all night long!! Let me ask another question. To all of you Lineage at Arm 1 is somwhere around $10 for a league night Arm 2 is $9.95 for league nights that is to guarantee your league lanes on a weekly basis are ready for you with a "GOOD SHOT" and that NO ONE will bowl on them before you do after they've been dressed. So I guess the lineage should go up at Arm 2 from $20 for 5 games of league bowling to $49.85 per bowler for 5 games of guaranteed league conditions. $20 sounds pretty reasonable when put in those terms.. Good luck and high scoring P.S. No outside food or drink is SUPPOSED to be brought in to either Armadilla
