Just wanted to say thanks again for such a wonderful Banquet Saturday night. My parents and they're friends were overwhelmed with ever aspect of this event. The evening was perfect except for my speech...lol... was a bit nervous....lol... It will be a night that me and my family will remember for the rest of our lives.... Thanks for everything, Jeff Clark Jeff great job on the speech! Including David Brown, O'fer and myself into the speech and all the hours we put in practicing after hours at whatever bowling center we were in!! LOL Really shows the "LITTLE BOWLERS" as you call them that "we" were once among those little bowlers and "we" had to practice and spend hours after hours on the lanes to get where we are now and that it's not all about talent. The part of the mystery sponsers being your parents was pretty heart wrenching also! I'm pretty sure I knew that but after 20 years it got filed away. Once again great job on the speech and refering to the new friends in your life I know they were surprised to be included in a lifetime achievement speech only being there a few months. For the ones who weren't there and boycotted the banquet for whatever reason they had? I myself if anyone asks me how it went and they weren't there I'm going to say you should've been there!! lol c ya tonight

The term "little bowlers" was never a term I used. Homersan used that term after one of my posts. To me, there are no little bowlers, there is just those that bowl more than others. Bowlers are like family to me....
For those that chose not to come, that is they're right. I don't expect everyone to like me but most that don't, really don't know me that well.....
And thanks on the compliment XBOM.... you guys are my friends and like family.... and any achievement means nothing if you don't have friends and family to share it with....

Your right you were given that tag by homersan LOL! Or they don't understand why your complaining!!! LOL they're happy when their ball comes back every time without having to call the desk because it got stuck!!!!! LOL " Man this beer sure is HOT tonight?" Or "Why do we have to go outside to smoke? Bubba's over there spittin SKOAL JUICE into a clear plastic coke bottle!! That is SO GROSS!!" Look at that guy he's rantin' and raving after not getting a strike for the firsttime in WOW He started that game with a HAMBONE!!! He must be good. I wonder if he uses his thumb?" LOL. But you get my point as for those who didn't show up. You were at their induction to honor them why weren't they at yours? I don't like the double standards some people have!

Well, maybe that will go to show who really is the bigger person...
I was a bit surprised that Mega Plex was a Gold Level Sponser and Armadilla I didn't do anything as far as sponsership. And I bowl all three of my leagues in either Arm I or Arm II, to me it don't really matter, the money is going into the same pocket. Maybe I should consider a Mega Plex league next year?.... I really didn't notice till a couple of other people pointed it out to me.....

Personally in my case i would have to ask Randy for the ok to do that at Armadilla 2. If They went through Danna and she nixed the idea without going to Randy for the ok that was CHICKEN CACA imo!!! I'll try to find out from Randy if Armadilla one was asked to sponser the event and who said no. As for Jimbo buying a spot and Mano and Russ not made Spin to win Proshop look pretty good as well. I'll try to find out and let you know something tonight... xbom

I hear that Mano may be tight on money and if so, I can fully understand him not sponsering or attending the banquet. If you don't have the money, you just don't have it....

It's not that big a deal Xbom... don't worry about it. I had a great time as it was and so did my family and close friends....Arm I has the right to sponser or not sponser anything they want. I will not hold any malice towards anyone.... I refuse to let others control my happiness or unhappiness on anything....

As has already been discussed this morning with Jimmy, Danna, Randy and myself, IF Armadilla Lanes had been approached, we certainly would have sponsored. Much to our surprise, we were not even asked to buy tickets and we purchase them every year. As much time as you guys spend with Randy on Tuesday,it seems a bit odd to whine on here when you could have asked any given day. Danna told Randy to expect a call and we never got it. AS for you taking a shot at Mano? That is pretty low since he usually sponsors everything that he is asked to do. I do not usually read this BS and Now I know why. Congrats to you Jeff and the rest of you especially employees and patrons who bowl in our centers...Please have a nice day! And one more thing... I know you guys think the world revolves around you and bowling but for those of us who could not make it...there just might have been a real reason and not because we think you are a star or not. Geez!! Kathy Banks

I know you guys think the world revolves around you and bowling but for those of us who could not make it...there just might have been a real reason and not because we think you are a star or not. Geez!! Kathy Banks For the record, I did mention to both Mano and Danna, out of friendship and courtesy, that, Jimbo's Pro Shop AND Mega Plex Lanes were sponsoring the Hall of Fame. When Mano and I discussed the Hall of Fame sponsorship, it was determined that his "Sponsorship in part" of our City tournaments would probably be enough advertisment to our membership on his behalf. I fully agreed, and assured him his helping us with securing bowling balls for our city tournaments to raffle was greatly appreciated and he would be credited again this year during the squads of both the OPEN and Women's tournaments. I also mentioned to Danna that Mega Plex was sponsoring GOLD LEVEL, and I was not trying to pressure her into doing anything, but if she felt she should correspond with sponsorship, I feel she would have taken care of the contacting apprpriate parties (Randy). Danna indicated early on she would not be attending the banquet, and she made no mention or offer to purchase the usual 10 tickets that Armadilla I usually purchases every year. It is not my place to judge or remark on people's decisions, I try my best as Assoc. Prez to make sure everyone is aware of what is going on, in the sense of being equitable to all entitites that are a part of who we serve... including pro shops, bowling centers and members. Again....Randy was never called and the guy that approached Danna BESIDES you was told to contact Randy and never did. Randy has bought tickets every year and he was not asked to buy them this year. That is his decision and not Danna's. I think this issue should be laid to rest now. Thanks Kathy

Hey, it's no big deal guys.... All I can say, if it has been past normal practice that an Pasadena Assoc. member had to approach Randy directly, then I agree with Kathy. But if in the past Danna or another Arm I Employee approached Randy in the past for they're normal 10 tickets, then I'll have to agree with PBA. But none the less, it makes no difference with me and I'd hate to see any rift start over this between the Assoc. and Arm I over a miscommunication. I guess some people are feeling this was deliberate because there are some I hear at Arm I that don't like me. All I can say, is everyone is entitled to their opinion and can choose to participate or not to.... I harbor no ill feelings towards any employee or employees at Arm I or Arm II, including Randy and Danna... I think they do a great job running the centers.
Also, I heard last night that Mano and Kathy were babysitting Roger's kids and since Roger was in the program speaking, he had to go, leaving Mano and Kathy to watch his kids. Mano has supported the Pasadena Assoc. and it's bowlers for many years via one function or another. I don't think he should get any grief for missing one year.

I just THOUGHT I knew everything... lol It's a moot point actually... the banquet was awesome... we missed those that weren't there, and hope to see them next year. I will make sure our "sponsorship committee" contacts Randy next year...

I'd be upset about having to babysit kids too.... LOL Just kidding, I agree there is alot of miscommunications and misrememberberings going on.... I really think it's no big deal... I'm not trying to hard sell sponsorships... the opportunity for them is there, I hope they pay off for those that have bought... of course, the traffic on the website needs to double or triple in my opnion so that there is more exposure to the sponsors than is going on at this point...
