I should have a better frame of mind next week. Overall I had a blast averaging 146...lol. Had 15 opens, with 8 of them being splits and 2 washouts. So my spare shooting wasn't real bad. I missed 5 spares that I should have made. You are going to have to go straighter at your spares... I noticed several you missed with a lot of turn on the ball... you will have to adjust for the "no skid" you are used to getting shooting spares in the puddle... with no puddle you have to adjust your shot... I know you know this, just reinforcing what you already have thought about.... Plus... I want you to out average mr. perfect... and you will have to make spares in order to do that... I thought I was going to be bowling on Stormy's team but Robert brought a 3rd member up last night, so I'm back to occasionally subbing. Rudy's team won't need me until June 20th.. A part of me wants to defend my High Sports League avg. from last year but not at the expense of bowling badly at Nationals..... But with wine setting a 146 avg... he's not bestowing any fear in me with that....lol..... and the bowlers that bowled last year and last night were all telling me that there was a little more mistake room right when you were in deep inside....If that's the case, I think a 190 something avg. would be possible for me, if I were bowling regularly..

Well like I said earlier, I wasn't in the right frame of mind after the 1st game and just never recovered from there. True, I made stupid mistakes by not shooting my spares with a straighter approach, but my mind was somewhere else.

I do know that Cermin shot 600+. Eric C started out with a 250+, but nothing after that. I'm not sure if he even broke 550.

James Cermin did have 2nd high avg. last year in the sport league with 185 or 186 if I remember correctly. He's fairly accurate and covers his spares regularly. On this type of shot, his game works well. He would avg. higher on the house shots if had a little bit more powerful first ball but on the Sport shot, the straighter game of his, is a bonus....JMO....

Well, he averages about 225, so how much more "power" would he need to average 230?

But to answer your question, I guess he would need my power since I did carry 231 at Arm I on Thursday night....lol....

Also Rudy avgd 198 for the nite. I should know, we bowled them. We got lucky enough to split with them. Plus on the spares, I can throw straight with the best of them, and I missed a few easy ones last nite. Even throwing straight, there was still a little hook on the back end. But I am looking forward to averaging higher by the end of the summer. But what I would like to see is a fall sport league, just to make it intresting. JMO.
