I realize that the Houston association is bigger than Pasadena and with that comes more prestige, I guess. But a lot of people don't know how good the talent is here in Pasadena. I think you will have a number of worthy candidates for the hall of fame in years to come that bowl here. I know Houston is full of talented bowlers, but it would be fun to take, say the top ten current bowlers from each city and do a home and home competition. I think Pasadena would hold its own if not take them out.

DANGIT...I thought I had the lock for low average after the 1st week, but noooooooooooooo...Poteet had to steal my thunder. Maybe I can get the award for most improved average...lol.
Thanks for putting the sport league on bowl.com. I wish more league secretaries would do that for their bowlers. not everyone who bowls in Pasadena lives near the center so they can go look at the standings. I live 25+ miles from Armadilla, but i bowl league there once a week.

You are going to have to go straighter at your spares... I noticed several you missed with a lot of turn on the ball... you will have to adjust for the "no skid" you are used to getting shooting spares in the puddle... with no puddle you have to adjust your shot... I know you know this, just reinforcing what you already have thought about.... Plus... I want you to out average mr. perfect... and you will have to make spares in order to do that... I thought I was going to be bowling on Stormy's team but Robert brought a 3rd member up last night, so I'm back to occasionally subbing. Rudy's team won't need me until June 20th.. A part of me wants to defend my High Sports League avg. from last year but not at the expense of bowling badly at Nationals..... But with wine setting a 146 avg... he's not bestowing any fear in me with that....lol..... and the bowlers that bowled last year and last night were all telling me that there was a little more mistake room right when you were in deep inside....If that's the case, I think a 190 something avg. would be possible for me, if I were bowling regularly.. I dont think any finished with a 190 last summer but there should be a couple in the 190 and maybe even a 200 this summer.

Your welcome Wine. The ABC sport association gave me the program last summer and I love putting on there, I just can't use that program for any other league. It won't allow me to. I wish I could afford the other program so i could put all of them on there. Maybe some day I can. I don't even have a functional computer to use. I use the one at Arm 1 to put in the scores for Tuesday's and I use my sisters to do this when I escape and come over here. Anyway Your welcome......

My prediction and sorry if I offend anyone, but it is that Rudy Ruiz will have high average when it is all said and done. Not that some of you can't compete, but his game is extremely accurate and simple. Less things to go wrong and he has always been a good bowler.

I agree that Rudy is good, but I wonder if he will be able to adjust to the real oily shot. With his speed, he will definitely have to slow it down the 2nd half of the summer.

Y'all are on the oily shot.... No we are not. If we are, then there will be alot more struggle if the shot is going to be drier than what it already is.

Just curious MsMullet... if I were bowling this league, would that influence or change your prediction any?.... I'll be subbing for Rudy the 20th of this month and I may bowl it every week after I get back from Nationals....I'm not on a team as such but subbing...

I'm not sure about the oily shot or not, I was just raggin' on whoever was reading... lol
The eliminator cuts last night with 15 entries, 176, 174, then to cash was 235 (rudy), 189 (Erik), 181 (charlie mills)... the 2nd game, out of the 10 advancing, BigJle was high with a 198.
Erik had 2 open frames for the night.
It is funny watching the bowlers and their reactions... many still consider it to be a novelty, as opposed to a competition... in other words, I see self conscious laughs and shoulder shrugs when making bad shots, as opposed to grit and determination to not make them... it's hard to explain... it's like the bowlers accept their short-comings as shot makers, because it's just the Sport shot... and they would be striking on the easy shots... it's a weird reaction.... one you have to witness.
