Shawn definitely threw the ball well last night... Great bowling... Thought I had a chance at 700 myself until the 3rd game, our right lane went to crap, oil carry down... went 255, 212, 181...for a 648 and a 201.73 after 15 games...I won't get in 2/3's of the league to really have my average count but as expected Mills and I are #1 and #2 in averages in the league and I've gain some ground on Mills but I doubt I'll catch him with one week left in the league. And after Shawn's 716, his average is now at 200.12. So he is right on your tail. After starting with a 146 avg the 1st week, I have slowly brought it up to 184. Not bad.

Not bad, you Sandbagger...lol....J/K True, I'll have to bowl well again next week to stay ahead of him and have any chance of catching Mills... But for the 3 times I've bowled on this 2 half pattern, I've gone 655, 593 and 648 and have averaged 210.66 on it.... I feel I have a chance....lol... ;D

You've bowled 1/2 of the league after you bowl NEXT week.
4 out of the 6 weeks you will bowl will be on the higher scoring patttern.
With only 1/2 of the season bowled and not qualifying for league awards or recognition, I don't see how you can say you and Mills are 1-2 in average "as expected".
You don't qualify for any league recognition, and with 2/3 of your bowling on the higher scoring pattern, if you had "sacked up" and bowled this summer you may not even have been at 200+.
Why didn't you bowl?
Oh yes, I remember.
You didn't want to mess up your bowling stroke on a sport shot before you went to Nationals.
How'd that work out for you?

True, not as much as I was hoping but it was better..... Some people are bowling better on this shot but I don't think everyone is... and I'm sure there are some that liked the 1st half shot better than the 2nd half shot....So, to say the 2nd half shot is better is a matter of opinion and we have no way of knowing if I would be averaging higher or lower if I had bowled all summer. And I bowled twice on the 1 half pattern and was averaging in 190's if I remember correctly. But regardless, I bet if I had bowled all summer in this league I would still be #1 or #2 in average... I would have bowled more if Erik and Charley needed me more. And you took my place on Stormy's team. I was going to finish out the year with them but John asked you before I was asked. They probably would have done better with me...lol.. ;D...J/K

John "please find someone to bowl with us. I don't like perfect and don't think I can bowl with him" or something like that #nutkick#

And she didn't want anyone bowling with her that had a nose "BIGGER" than hers I figured she would want me on her team for that reason alone. Since my nose is bigger, other people would be less likely to notice hers.....lol...

The last night of a league I enjoyed. I think this league will make me a better bowler during the fall season with my spare shooting. Good luck tonight. It ashame they don't have an award for most improved...I would win that by a mile (146 to 184)...lol There's an award I never win.

Props go out to the Perfect one last night for his "stone 9" 299 game. The first honor score in our Pasadena Sport League. I watched him throw a few shots and it looked like he had quite a bit of room to work with on the lane. Even Erik was playing an outside line where it would be out of bounds on our pair.
On another note, We won 1 1/2 games last night. Shot 192, 196, 200 = 588 and an ending average of 185. Better than I thought it would be after the start I had this summer. I enjoyed learning how to bowl again, even with hand-me-down equipment. Had my speed up to 15.5 to 15.7 last night which is alot better than the 13.5 at the beginning of the summer. Hopefully this fall will be the start of a good comeback for me and that I don't have any major setbacks.

Thanks, Wine... but I don't know about that quite a bite of room part, trust me, we still had to be accurate on our pair. We only made them look easier because we are that good..... ;D... but the shot on our pair did get better the last game compared to the first two, at least for me. When you have better bowlers on a pair playing similar lines, a shot can be opened up a little bit..... And Erik was playing straight up the boards from the outside that last game, if he or anyone was in further with his feet and sent the ball out there, it would not have come back, trust me. Also, Erik has been throwing the ball great lately, I didn't until the third game...lol... but when your throwing it good, you can create a little more area than those that are not. Our team does have the 1st, 2nd and 4th highest averages in the league... (if you count mine for only a 1/2 season)... And we had those averages because we are the better bowlers in the league because accuracy is suppose to mean something in bowling..... #nsrtrts_104# ..... #pokewithstick# ....lol...

Thanks, PBA..... I pinched it just a little bit but I really thought I had it.... I hadn't been that nervous in the 10th since the 10th frame of the third game of my 857 series..... I knew I had to execute the shot to have a chance....Most of the time, I just pray for carry in those situations, because hitting the pocket on a normal house shot, is hardly ever a problem.... the 10th last night, I was just hoping to hit the pocket....lol.... I didn't want to wing one right or pull the crap out of one....That game last night to date, will be one of my more cherished honor scores, because of the condition it was shot on.....JMO... All of my shots were in the pocket except one, I did roll a 2-8 in the 5th frame, (my only big break in the game)

You know, this is what I have been referring to about how you (mr. p) are... a simple THANKS would have sufficed, but you had to add a thesis on averages, accuracy and the superior abilities of you and your teammates... It just doesn't read good... Let your accomplishments speak for themselves without the documentary... You have every right to cherish that 299 as one of the highlights of your career, but, what most people want you to do is cherish it, and enjoy your accomplishment with a sense of humilty and accomplishment, not as an opportunity to break down and analyze your superior abilities and take the opportunity to speak down to the "little bowlers". Sorry, but that's my take. I fully congratulate you on your accomplishment. Others might not be able to... you won't let them.

Was just checking out the USBC Sport bowling awards, they give out Crystal bowling pins for 800 Series and 300 games, if I would have carried that 9 pin, I think I would have gotten that or maybe the ring, but that pin looks sharp......
They also have listed the top 50 games of the 05-06 season in Sport leagues across the USA. According to the list, there has only been 10-300 games shot this year and 2-299 games, mine will make the 3rd once they list it.......I knew the Sport shot was tough, but I didn't think there were that few of honor scores overall....
