when is this league starting up, how long do i have to find myself a team?
is it going to stay at 3 member teams, or is there enough interest to change it to 4 member?

I am so ready for this league to start up. With the 2 slicker patterns, I think I will average well. I'd rather bowl on gut slick than bone dry lanes. I don't have the speed for the dry shot.

Even though they will be slicker, they won't be easy.... I just hope Arm I gets their lanes machine fix before this league starts... Unless it's been fix since last Thursday, it can even lay out the normal house shot right, much less one of the PBA Experience shots....

The league meeting is May 29th @ 7pm...and the league starts June 5th @ 6:50 practice. At the meeting We will NOT be able to lay down the pattern due to that being the last day of resurfacing the lanes. I am going to get with Dana to see if we can put the pattern down that weekend before the league start, possible Friday as to run the tapes and send to USBC to make sure we are ok on the pattern ( which should be a yes since we got the patterns from them ) I will post if Dana will let pratice on them then.

I don't expect easy in a Sport league, but I do like the idea of watching people cry when their ball doesn't hook like normal. According to Mr Regional (thedoctor), the 2 patterns we are using are not the slickest patterns, but we will see how slick they are when we start.

I'll have to read up on the patterns from PBA.com and how the pros can play those two patterns..... I think one of them can be played from 2 different angles depending on what part of the lane you feel more comfortable at or more accurate with... But it should be fun.... Any predictions on who will be the average leaders this year? I'll go ahead and jump out with mine..... I'll say me and Charlie Mills will be 1 & 2 but I don't know in which order it will be...but I'm sure there will be some new faces I don't know about that could be up there with us in this league....

Just depends on how much practice he can get in.... He's got the talent and ability but if your only bowling 3 games a week.... your execution can suffer on the tougher shots...JMO...

Well we were going to bowl, but now I don't know. We need a 3rd bowler and don't have any ideas about who to get now that the leagues are ending and everyone we talk to is already bowling.

Well last night we had the league meeting and it looks like we have 17-18 confirmed teams. Should be a great summer again. Good luck to everyone.
BTW...the lanes were looking pretty good last night. They weren't through yet, but they were close. They will be putting out both shots Thursday night so we can run tapes and throw some practice. I think it will be 7pm for some FREEEEEE practice. Unfortuately, I won't be able to make it there to throw some.

i plan on being out there to throw a few balls ... might also help get me ready for state tourney Here is what I have heard on the shot at Forum Bowl and City View. Forum Bowl...(Singles & Doubles house).. oily... Heavy in the middle out to around 8th board. Outsides, 7th board and out is dryer but can't boom the ball out there and get it back unless you rev. it up and throwing something aggressive. I hear you have to square up and go up the boards with little swing and stay away from Perlized balls in this house, need a solid or partical ball..... There is lots of tug but little swing.. Getting to the pocket was pretty easy but carry was tough.... lot's of 8, 9 and 10 pin taps.... info provided to me by Charlie Mills. City View....(Team house)... I have bowled several SASBA events in this house... Not as oily, and more swing area... Can throw Perlized equipment... the shot is similar to Arm II... throw the ball inbetween 2nd and 3rd arrow at the arrows and get it right but don't go out to the1,2,3 boards unless you catch a slicker pair and standing further right..... Carry is usually pretty decent but depends on what pair you catch...

well after looking at the scores shot at the doubles and singles events, i would have guessed that Forum was the easier shot ... not that 3560 in team is anything to sneeze at, but still, it looks like more higher scores at the other place based on the current leaders
