I did OK last night. I went 217-222-198=637. I think it should have been better, but I had a couple of splits and a couple of easy spares I shouldn't have missed. It was funny I started every game off with the front 4 then missed right every time. Thats OK we won 4, and I won 2 brackets and got 2nd in the other.

We lost 3 last night. I shot 179, 202, 203, 584 on a 197 average. Opened the 10th frame the 2nd and 3rd games. Kristy bowled great shooting 570, but Rocky subbed for Jeff and shot a HUGE 390 on a 171 average. On the other hand, Michelle Davis shot a very nice 576 after shooting 13? the first game. That's what killed us. Even if we carried Jeff's average, we would've split 2-2.

I shot my first 200 this week....................... and barely averaged out. I wanted to quit after game 1, but hung in there for more torture!

shot my first 600 tonight, a whopping 605 ... with a 146 game!!!
Mike F beat me with a 610, and the most important thing, we won 3 games for the first time since the first week!

Bowled pretty well last night. Went 208-223-253=684. I had one open in the 3rd frame of the second game to miss my 30 clean. Oh well there is always next week. We did win 3 last night.

Good shooting ihookplastic, you beat me last night. Our pair was a lot dryer in the middle than the first two weeks, plus I wasn't throwing the ball all that good either. Had my lowest series of the league so far with a 547....161, 213 and 173... but we won 3 games thanks to our sub Rocky Z. redeeming himself this week and saving our butts last night with a 613 series....Kris B. had a 544..... Way to go team...

Thank you. I think I have figured out this shot. Now we will have to see here in a couple of weeks when we change. I had the shot figured out from the first two weeks, (missed last week due to Nationals) but last night, our pair was way different. The oil from 2nd to 3rd arrow was much less and the oil didn't carry down at all last night, where is was doing that by the 6th frame of the first game, the first two weeks. I had to move further right with my feet and target to get the ball down the lane but was still getting an inconsistent reaction.

I have noticed that the shot has been a little different on each pair. The reason it took me a little longer to get the shot was because I was throwing the wrong ball the first week and most of the second. Last week I should have changed balls for the 3rd game to a stronger hooking ball because of the carry down, but didn't and only shot 198. So I knew going into last night I would change if it happened again, but I didn't get that carry down problem. As far as the oil between the 2nd & 3rd arrow, I wouldn't know I'm farther right than that.

I had to be last night as well but the first two weeks I didn't have to. And I agree, there is a difference in the shot at Arm I either it being the PBA Experience or house shot from pair to pair....One would think after the lanes were refinished, that problem would be less. Makes me wonder if the lane machine is working properly or if the lane man is doing proper maintenance on the machine each day... Who knows over there.... I'm ready to get back to Arm II where Jimbo takes care of all of that....I know it's done right over there at Arm II.........

Even since the lanes have been resurfaced it is still going to take sometime to even out. I know the machine strips the lanes before each time it oils, but it still doesn't get all the oil. This is just my opinon. All I do know is our team is doing much better than I thought we would do. This is one of the patterns that I haven't shot on at a regional yet, so I didn't know what to expect. I haven't shot on the next pattern either, but I have a good idea what to do on it.

I realize that the shot (or scoring) will get better in time at Arm I, once the lane beds get some more play on them. But they are as close to being the same from pair to pair at this point (right after resurfacing) than they will be a year from now or even two years from now...... JMO.. So I feel at this point, if there is a great difference from pair to pair, it's the lane machine causing it...JMO... And I realize that, even though the lane machine won't strip all the oil off the lanes. I'm sure it does where the machine lays the lightest amount of oil.... I'm sure it don't remove all the heavier oil in the middle of the lanes from the House shot. But the stripping portion of the machine seems to be stripping some pairs better in the middle than others.....JMO....It's possible that human error as in inconsistency in the stripping fluid ratio each time they change out that tank and put in new, could be making that difference...JMO... or something in the machine is not working properly, consistantly...

I think I'll blame the new scoring. ;D I don't think that from pair to pair is as bad as it was prior to resurfacing. My major complant before the resurfacing was that the right or left lane was different from the other. So far both lanes of every pair we have bowled on has been very close to the other. And each pair we have caught has been pretty close to the others we have had too. We have bowled have had 17/18, 19/20, 21/22, & 23/24.

We have been on the last 4 pairs these first four weeks. We had 31 & 32 the first night. 31 was hooking more than 32 but it's an end pair and I can cut that some slack. We catch 27 & 28 I think the second week, they were more consistent and the shot was very close to what we had the prior week. Kris said that last Tuesday, we caught 25 & 26.... I can't give a report on that pair since I didn't bowl last week but Kris had a 570 something. I went 628 and 609 my first two weeks.
Last night we both shot in the 540's and we both said, they were not as slick as prior weeks and we didn't have much oil carry down as we were getting. For me and him, our shot gets better once the oil moves down the lane and tames down the back end reaction. We didn't get that last night, so our scores suffered, but I will say that Rocky liked it...After going 390 last week, he went 617 last night....GO figure....lol....
