One thing I haven't mention yet, during our Match with Ozio and Smurf. I had started off the day throwing my Horizon and was doing ok with it. After the 2nd and 4th frames and getting a bad reaction with it on that pair, I switched to my Ricochet Rebound (I used that ball for the last 5 games Saturday). But anyways, after throwing it in the 6th and flushing up a solid strike, Ozio started smiling and said, nice ball change...lol.. I ended up striking out from then on in that game, which we ultimately lost by 1 pin. When we were at the ball rack getting our balls to move to the next pair, Ozio asked me what ball that was, and after telling him, he said that was a good ball. One of the best Columbia has ever made...In his opinion.. Ozio is still smooth as glass and throws the ball great. He's a very nice and approachable guy to talk to. He was also glad I didn't start that match with that ball, we would have won, if I did....lol...

Good bowling clark, sounds like you got a new friend in Ozio. This just in... mr. p will not be bowling tonight.... yes... I have the facts correct... after making a few polite remarks to mr. p during their match, David Ozio made an unexpected left turn and mr. p's head was buried so far up Ozio's a$$ he is now suffering from a severe case of whiplash... in addition, one of the names he has dropped today landed on his slide foot... and he has a swollen toe. lolololololololololololololololololololol

Oh I figured your back would hurt the most after having to carry your senior partner all weekend!!!!!!!!!! LOLOLOLOLOL No, not really, that's just happens sometimes in Doubles competition. Sometimes your the horse and sometimes you get to come along for the ride. Who knows, next time he could carry me to the finals. I was giving Smurf a hard time saturday leaving the bowling center. I happened to be walking out the same time that him and Ozio was walking out. I told smurf that Hell must have frozen over, Smurf asked why. I told him because I actually out scored him in qualifying, that hardly ever happens. He laughed and said that quite a few beat him today smiling. Then Ozio chimed in on the the ragging and told smurf he was taking tomorrow off and he would have to carry the load Sunday....lol.... it was hilarious....we all laughed and went on to our cars...

I have no idea... I doubt he cuts back on his bowling unless his wifes health decays any further. I believe she has cancer but Wine would know more about that, he talked to Ozio last year about it, at State.

That's the only time I have ever talked to him and that was at dinner with 15 other people. If anyone would know any updates, it would be skipper.
I will admit that Ozio was very easy to talk to and down to earth, but if I were to see him in a crowd, I'm not sure if he would remember me from anyone else in the crowd. I agree he is one of the smoothest bowlers I have ever seen play the game and he hasn't lost much as he has gotten older.

I'm not so sure if he has lost anything, except maybe some endurance..lol....and I'm not so sure on that either. I can't remember who told me this but Ozio was telling this person that he "only" got to practise 50 games last week....geez.... I think my hand and arm your fall off if I still bowled 50 to 75 games a week...

The thing about his game is the power he has at his release... he is so smooth. TV doesn't capture the force as the ball leaves his hand...
It's like mr. p says about his own game only about 10-15 times better... but the smooth, balanced approach (another difference from mr. p's drunken sailor style) and crisp release are something else to watch.
