The thing about his game is the power he has at his release... he is so smooth. TV doesn't capture the force as the ball leaves his hand... It's like mr. p says about his own game only about 10-15 times better... but the smooth, balanced approach (another difference from mr. p's drunken sailor style) and crisp release are something else to watch. I never said I was as smooth or as good as Ozio but I'm closer to him than many others are as far as smoothness and scoring. I know Ozio and M. Williams out scored me for all eight games but my last 4 games were higher than their last four games...lol... Mark was +166 for his last four Ozio was +155 .....I was +174.... I was only +51 for my first 4 games Mark was +155 Ozio was +109 I was throwing my Smokin Inferno playing a tight swing around 10 to 6. It worked well my first game but was inconsistant reacting when I moved pairs. I then noticed all of the people scoring well were further inside with medium hooking balls so I decided to make a switch to my Ricochet Rebound. I had a more consistant reaction from pair to pair inside with that ball.... This was the second time I had ever bowled in this house. Mark and Ozio besides being better, also have house advantage on me since they bowl their all the time. So I don't feel so bad about my performance and being able to stay fairly close to Ozio over all and M. Williams for my last 4 games of qualifying... And I missed 2 - 10 pins like an idiot...lol... that costed me 22 pins...

hey Jeff, my pops said that you didn't win enough to buy him dinner ... he doesn't really like McDonalds, except for breakfast Ozio really is a nice guy ... but he sucks as a Doubles Partner, I carried his a$$ at state tourney last year I told him that he better improve some this year or else I'll be looking for a new partner!!! He is going to Nationals with us this year as well, so I will get to see how he handles that shot, which so many of us struggle on oh, and "mr. p's drunken sailor style" still has me LOL ... 15 minutes after reading it!!!

Well tell him thanks again anyways, Chuck and I appreciated it very much. I was there last year at State when Ozio was there and according to your Dad, he caught a bad pair. One lane was way different than the other. I'm sure this year he will do much better. As far as Nationals, I've seen him do very well in the past, I think he'll be the last person you'll need to worry about on that shot...lol... I really don't get the drunken sailor style?...Even when I do drink or even drunk when bowling, I'm still smoother and out score most bowlers...lol....

There's no way the official standings could be any more detailed than the multiple posts you made yesterday... I mean, I doubt they carry their tournament averages out to 3 places......

So by this response, you are telling us you left out a lot of details or are you telling us that you did not post your average out to 3 decimal places, because I can research the posts from yesterday and show where you stated you average 228.125 for your 8 game block....

Jimmy Paulk and I had a great showing this weekend in this Tourn. We qualified 15th on Saturday (they took 18 to the finals) and moved up to 4th on Sunday, missed 3rd place by 3 pins. We won our last match against Mark Williams and Paul McCordic, 226 to 190 and got the 30 bonus pins. Thought we had 3rd locked up but Jim King and Omar Arnett shot a 266 and passed us up by 3 pins from 5th place.... oh well, we were still happy.... We split 1,900.00 for the Tourn. and Calcutta... Here's a link to the finals, scores and final place finishings.... if anyone is interested... www.sasba.com/live/live_matchplay_1.htm

ihookplastic.....
Tell your pops thanks again for buying me and Jimmy in the Calcutta on our behalf, since we had "B" Squad and wasn't going to be there that early. Since we won more this year, I'm sure I can spring for more than just McDonalds....lol.... So let him know, that the next time he's down or I'm up in Beaumont, I owe him a nice dinner..... ;D
