Congratulations to the winners of the All Star Tournament:
Division 1- Jeff Clark
Division 2- Kyle Leonard
Division 3- Marilyn Kinsel
We had 20 entries in Division 1, and 11 each in Divisions 2 and 3. I was a little disappointed in the turn out based on the number of entrants that were eligible to bowl, but I think the season may have something to do with it. It was suggested we move up the timeframe next year a month and see if that helps any... we will consider it.
I wonder if this could work as a 1 day torunament for say a $60 or $75 entry fee and bowl the 3 and 3 and then have the Double elimination Bracket Finals...

I wish I would have felt better and bowled better, but I did have fun and that's what counted the most. How about once every other month having a King of the Hill tournament? Alternate the finals between the houses each tournament. Same format as you mentioned for the 1 day event. I'm not sure Div 2 & 3 would do it, but I'm sure the 200+ Div 1 bowlers would go for it. And maybe only have the top 4 go to the double elimination bracket. Payout based on 1 in 5 entries with a minimum of the 4 finalists. Just an idea to throw around.

Congrats to all. Sure wish I could of been there, sounds like the shot was easy enough to put up some scores. I had to much stuff come up saturday that made it impossible for me to bowl. Maybe next year I will be able to participate.

Maybe next year I will be able to participate. Me to screwed.... the scores were not all that great at Arm I. Just Jeremy did well and that was on 3 & 4 only.... I sure hope Jimbo can get over there and fix their lane machine that had some bolts strip out a couple of weeks ago. It has caused the lane condition to change a bit from earlier this year..... less scorable in my opinion to most execpt those that can get inside and put some hand in the ball...JMO...

Don't make it sound like it was a "torture chamber", there was plenty of good scores bowled... the lanes do seem to be different and the transition and carry down seems to be more drastic, but, with a bowling bag large enough to fit all of Tech's kids in, I don't think you can justify not having a ball for whatever condition you may run across... they make some sandpaper and other products that can change the surface of a bowling ball that can make it dull enough even for an old man with no hand like you to be able to hook it a couple of boards...

I wasn't meaning that they were aweful, I just said not quit as scorable as earlier this year. The bowlers that have been scoring well lately on Thursday night at Arm I have been the twisters... I've been doing ok, just depends on what pair I catch...

I think there were many Division I bowlers do better at Diamond than they did at Arm I... for the most part, not all of coarse...

Scoreable at each place but overall a little higher at Armadilla.

Michele did better at Arm I than Diamond. She had a 57? at Diamond and a 691 at Arm I. Me on the other hand, did about the same at both. If I would have had a better first game I would have made it to match play. I only missed the cut by 25. That is what happens when you have a 144 to start with. I was happy that I was able to fight back and get close. I did have a good time and for the day we finished $5 down. That is between me and Michele for the whole tournament.

I can to...My criticism of the shot is being made from viewing lots of bowlers for several weeks.... I can hit that shot but many up and in bowlers on Thursday night have been struggling from what I've seen..... I have a ball to play that shot and the talent as well, obviously I do, I'm only averaging 236 or 237 on Thursday night and that might be the highest average in the house on any night but I don't know that for sure, since the Standing sheets on the Assoc. website have not been updated since before the Mixed State State has started, like it said it would be up-dated after the Tourn. and it's been done for a month now and nothing has been updated.....

I was playing up 10. I played the same shot at both houses. Last Wed. night I found that playing up 10 was carrying better. The only problems I had were me. It was a lot cooler at Arm, so after we moved I was having a problem holding on the the ball. For most of the first game it was coming off my thumb early every shot. I finally fixed that problem and was good after that.
