Like I said, the twisters are doing ok at Arm I, you and doc both put a lot on the ball and can move in and play that shot..... I can to...My criticism of the shot is being made from viewing lots of bowlers for several weeks.... I can hit that shot but many up and in bowlers on Thursday night have been struggling from what I've seen..... I have a ball to play that shot and the talent as well, obviously I do, I'm only averaging 236 or 237 on Thursday night and that might be the highest average in the house on any night but I don't know that for sure, since the Standing sheets on the Assoc. website have not been updated since before the Mixed State State has started, like it said it would be up-dated after the Tourn. and it's been done for a month now and nothing has been updated..... I was playing up 10. I played the same shot at both houses. Last Wed. night I found that playing up 10 was carrying better. The only problems I had were me. It was a lot cooler at Arm, so after we moved I was having a problem holding on the the ball. For most of the first game it was coming off my thumb early every shot. I finally fixed that problem and was good after that. Playing up 10?... you've never thrown the ball that straight....lol...

I didn't get a chance to see how he was throwing the ball Saturday.

actually, Garland had 1 bad game all day, first game at Diamond and that was his "tournament" nerves. He had 740 at Arm and 630 at Diamond. I had a better shot at Armadillo but only because its was SOO hot at Diamond, i was clammy and couldn't release the ball. Lanes were ok, but it was terribly hot. congrats to the winners - good bowling by everyone.
fun tourny, great format, i never miss it.

You would be surprised. ;D I looked at the speed of one of my shots and it was 18 mph on my strike shot. I normally don't throw it that hard at a 10 pin. So I can play straight. Which will add more variety in my game.

Here were my scores for the tournament: Diamond...177, 183, 180 (-60) Armadilla...202, 221, 258 (+81) Overall +21 Like I said, the twisters are doing ok at Arm I, you and doc both put a lot on the ball and can move in and play that shot..... I scanned and emailed standing sheets from Armadilla to Cassidy Clark this morning, that is the only sheets we have received since the tournament ended... we had a Board meeting yesterday and discussed these issues with the website. We hope to get it reenergized very quickly. I know people are disappointed and if you think I am not leading the pack with my own concerns you are VERY wrong.

I haven't seen you throw the ball lately at Arm I... By the way, what was the 8th score to make the finals?....I don't remember.... I remember it was Danny Trevino, I believe. It's lunch time, see you goof balls in an hour....lol...

This week I have been standing 22, hitting 9 or 10 at the arrows with no swinging it. As long as I don't drop the ball it has been carrying much better. I didn't think that I could play this shot anymore, especially with the ball I'm throwing now, but now I know I can. Now I need a ball that I can move back left and swing if I need to, since I have found that this ball works better going straighter down 10. the cut was 1303, if I remember correctly. I had a 1278.

QUIT BEING SO LAZY AND WALK PAST THE BAR MORE OFTEN #nutkick#

And many times, standing sheets of other nights are not up there. Sometimes they are taken out by the bowlers and never returned..... looking at them on the internet is easier...IMO...

I spoke with C- ass-idy a few minutes a go, he is at work and bowling tonight and will update the site tonight. After this point, if the site is not updated by tomorrow it's open season on the webmaster... lol

I wouldn't say that scoring at Diamond was better or worse, just different. To me the environment plays a lot into my game this year. After bowling at Arm II on Mondays, I struggle at Arm I on Wednesdays for some reason. In my case I believe lighting effects me between the 2 houses. It is darker at Arm II, so I have to concentrate on my mark more, just like I had to at Diamond. When I move to Arm I, there is more light and since it is brighter it changes my perception. Now this is just something I have noticed with my game lately, but I think to some degree it may affect everyone.

I was looking at bottom line, the actual results, not the reasons.... If Arm I and Diamond were even in scoring then if plus 60 something is eighth at Diamond, then when we moved to Arm I, the cut should have gone to +120 to +130 something. But it only got to + 103 .... This is the only way you can truly look at scoring as a whole for the Tourn. among all bowlers...IMO....

I have to somewhat disagree with that conclusion because the top 8 may have been the only 8 to bowl well at Diamond and others were able to catch up and pass the top 8 from Diamond. I'm a prime example of that scoring difference. -60 at Diamond and +81 at Armadilla. I'll bet we could get the total scores from both centers and Armadilla total pins would be more than the Diamond total pins. I was in last place at Diamond and only finished like 17th overall at +21. Their were quiet a few people that were minus when the Diamond portion was done and only 2 or 3 finished minus.
