I know officially Kris Boudny is nominated as a carryover from last year.
An application for perfect has been submitted...<what were they thinking>
Jim Long has indicated an application is being prepared for Junior.
I hear Eddie Brod is being nominated, but, I have heard that before and never seen one for him in past years...
I don't know about anyone else... it's all rumor except for the 2 I definitely know about...

Well, the Hall of Fame vote is Sunday, December 11th.
The PWBA votes Monday, December 12th.
The nominees for us to consider are as follows:
Kris Boudny Eddie Brod Bobby Browder Jeff Clark James Long, Jr. Jimmy Young
The PWBA will be considering a list of 7 nominees, but I will not post the names as everything is hearsay, and I would hate to violate any policies on secrecy I may not be familiar with... the names I heard from them is an overall mix of fine female representatives of service and performance.
Being 3 years removed from my nomination and subsequent election, I can tell you, it is a nerve- wracking time.
The Board and the Hall of Fame will be very aware of the nominee's credentials and worthiness, and it is not the intention to NOT recognize someone, or reject their application because of who they are, or what they HAVEN'T done. With so many worthy bowlers, in most cases it's not a case of IF, but, WHEN.
Next year, with the merged board, the Hall of Fame members will vote on the nominees and forward their selections to the local Board for ratification. That should prove quite interesting as it has not been decided what the voting and induction procedures and criteria will be... 2 men and 2 women, or a total of 4 no matter what "breed" they are... it's to be decided by the Hall of Fame Committee of the new Board which will be comprised of Hall of Fame members and some Greater Pasadena USBC Board members.

Man the competition looks very tough this year.... I don't envy the Board and Hall of Fame members this year on having to decide among such worthy applicants....all are deserving...
They're doesn't appear to be any Service Hall of Fame applicants this year.....So will there be two from that list above that will be inducted?

I agree with Hofer. I hope all the men and women who are nominated understand this one thing.....
NO ONE DOES NOT GET IN THE HOF BECAUSE OF PERSONAL REASONS. I was at my first vote last year, and i can tell you it did not happen like that. It is well considered and a very hard thing to do.
All the nominees men and women are worthy - and it's not IF it is WHEN, and if it is not this year, it will be another year - do not discourage or get upset with the board.
VOters have different criteria they may feel is important, I know alot of people put a lot of emphasis on "good sportsmanship" and as we all know, that is not a big deal to me. IT's a sport, you are either a winner or you are on a list of the losers - John Mcenroes antics on the tennis court make him no less of a champion then if he had never said a word. BUT, some people put alot of emphasis on sportsmanship. Some feel service is a huge plus, where again, i think there are 1000 reasons why people don't perform service, and they are valid, and no one should be punished from HOF for their accomplishments, just because they may not have had the time to devote to the board. So, remember, it could be little or big reasons, but it's not like or dislike of a person because that reason cannot be supported. So for those who get in, congrats and for those that don't get in this time, don't fret, you will get in. Think of the people who will never even be nominated, it is an honor to have the necessary credentials to even be thought of.

The PBA held their election tonight.
Congratulations to Kris Boudny and Eddie Brod for their election into the Hall of Fame.
This was the closest vote I have ever been a part of... there was literally 5 points seperating 2nd and 4th place on the final ballot.
I offer my support to Jeff Clark, Jimmy Young, Bobby Browder and James Long, Jr. on their nominations, and just would like to say they are all deserving for this honor, and their time will come...
Mano was nominated 4 or 5 times before his eventual election and I'm sure he will tell you the wait makes it even sweeter...

PWBA Board of Directors held their Hall of Fame vote Monday night.
I'm not sure if I am allowed to announce the results yet.... they were waiting to contact the Superior Performance Inductee.
For Service, PWBA Secretary Melissa Pingry was selected for induction.
ALl I will say about the other inductee is I am VERY happy she is being recognized. She is very deserving and as a bonus for me, one of my longtime friends...
NO... it's NOT RJJ..... lol

Maybe... maybe not... depends who the choices are... you may finish 4th or 5th place next year... lol I feel your pain perfect... but at least it's 2 very deserving accomplished bowers being inducted... imagine how bad it would feel if it was a couple of goof balls... Think about Mano... he missed out 2 years in a row to ME and the BOM... that had to suck for him... lol

I probably wouldn't bother trying again next year..... but I'm also, going to have applications submitted for Houston and State next year, since I do have a State Doubles Title and a 300 shot at State.... and I have many accomplishments in the HBA from the 80's....I don't know if my chances would be any better.... but they are zero, if I'm not submitted....lol...
