Does anyone know how screwed and team bowled this weekend? They were sitting in 4th place Team event after the squads on Sunday, but you will have to go to Texasbowling.com to get the updated scores... Their team is "Storm Troopers" They are sitting in first place in doubles after the weekend....

Wasnt enough people for brackets second squad either.
Perfect I didnt bowl team at diamond because jimbo needed me to run the shop on saturday. But the team did crapy regardless. They bowled on 31-32 and was horrible. Bowled on 1&2 at armadilla sunday and had a descent shot, had severe wet dry way worse than 2. Me and the mrs shot 1479 and should of been alot higher if we could of gotten the corners out. Had games of 221 235 268 724. Stormy had 234,22? 18? 63? for doubles. Singles was horrible for me and gave up after the first game. lane 1 was alot dryer then 2 and was constantly hooking more and ended up not being able to get far enough left because of the drop off to the carpet. So after shooting 180 I was done, tired and wanted to go home and watch football ;D. ended up shooting 160? the next 2 games, not because I couldnt hit the pocket but because I couldnt spare single pins. I stuck on the majority of my spare attempts and have a sore knee and thigh as the result. I need new shoes lol. Mike fravel bowled descent in singles and edged me out in six game tottals. Still averaged 200 + bowling as bad as I did in singles. We were told that for punishment for turning in our entrys so late that we got stuck on the end pairs lol.

That bites y'all had to bowl end pairs...Normally, 1 & 2 at Arm I is a good pair.... the lane man must not of been awake yet when he ran the lanes that morning...lol... Congrats on y'alls Doubles score.... What division are y'all in, in Doubles? Div. I..?

Congrats on y'alls Doubles score.... What division are y'all in, in Doubles? Div. I..? per tournament director George Bishop: Lanes are assigned from the middle out. Early entries will bowl in the middle of the lanes used for the squad. Entries mailed at the deadline will be on the edges. Seeing as how entries were mailed out on the due date... I doubt that qualifies as "early". Also, we met with the bowling center management long ago to ensure they wanted the tournament and to set the rules up according to their wishes. Armadilla stated they wanted the lanes dressed between each squad. What you do at one house you have to do at the other. So the lanes are dressed between squads. With 614 Teams and 1,200+ doubles pairs, there is only 32 lanes available to use for doubles and singles. Time constraints dictate what times you start and finish to accomodate that number of bowlers. A head shot is run @ Armadilla. The shot for 2nd squad is unlike the usual house shot. 3rd Squad could be even worse.

So you are saying that TSBA is dictating the shot at both houses? So, the house shot is not being run then? Is that what you are saying PBA?...

So you are saying that TSBA is dictating the shot at both houses? So, the house shot is not being run then? Is that what you are saying PBA?... That is not what I am saying at all. Danna wanted the lanes oiled between squads. There is not 1 1/2 hours time to run the entire shot between squads, based on the number of bowlers and lanes needed. Therefore, Danna said they would run a head shot between squads,

Oh, ok..... I'm sure glad we have first squads at both houses then, I think when we bowl....lol... We have the 2:00 pm Team squad at Diamond on Saturday Nov. 11th and the 8:00 am Squad for D & S on the 12th.... The Diamond time, may not be a first squad time....I don't know... Is there any way of finding out what pairs we'll be on at each house before that weekend?

With today's equipment, lane oils and lane surfaces to ensure equality and integrity of the Tourn in my opinion, the lanes should be ran fully between each squad of Team and D & S.....I feel sorry for those catching the later squads because they will not have as a scoreable shot as those that get to bowl first squads unless you are a lefty...JMO...
They should have allowed more time between squads to oil the whole lane. Add more weekends if they have to, to allow this to happen.... Many people are going to spend money on travel, food, hotel and on bowling to come here and bowl this. And to get an unfair draw of squad times and shoot poor scores because of it, only serves to diminish entries of future State bowling events because of bad planning....JMO...

We left to eat Saturday, and I bowled/ worked @ Armadilla on Sunday. But it is I disagreeumption they are oiling the entire lane @ Diamond. Wine was there he could answer that for sure.

But it's not to say they will do the same thing on the busy weekends when they have a full house. We had a good hour+ between squads each day.
