Yea Astros! We are in a better position since we have better pitching. Lets go all the way! This may be true but I think our hitting is a little weaker this year..... But we have the potential of being as good or better than last year.... just depends on how many of our S'tros get hot..... But remember, we will be facing teams with good pitchers as well and with a 3 or 4 man rotation we will be facing tough pitching through out the play offs...

You really don't know what you are talking about. I think we have had this discussion once before. Where do you get a 3 or 4 man rotation? You know it will be Pettitte, Clemens, Oswalt and Backe for sure. I wouldn't want to be Atlanta with the possiblity of facing Clemens twice. (That is what the mlb report says) We may not have Beltran, but the rest of the team has stepped up.

With a 4 man rotation with 3 of those pitchers being Roy O, Roger C, and Andy P I'll take our chances against any other rotation in baseball

I'm saying the teams we face will have a 3 or 4 man rotation against us and it will be they're best 3 or 4 all the time starting off....
Yes we have gotten our hits this year but too often it was against the 3rd, 4th and 5th rotation of starting pitchers on the other teams..... Now we will be catching 1st, 2nd and 3rd almost all the time.... it will make a difference...JMO...

perfect you are a real dumba$$ A team doesn't win 89 games in a season by winning against another teams 3rd thru 5th starters If you watched the Astros at all this season they play better against opposing teams who are pitching there ace! In the last week of the season they beat Carpenter from St. Louis who will probably win the Cy Young and the last game of the year they beat Greg Maddux. Have you ever heard of him You need to go back to preaching about lane conditions because your closer to being right about that than you are about how the Astros are playing right now D. Willis will win the Cy Young from Florida..JMO.. G Maddox wins and losses were at approx. .500.... what was his era this year?..... and Carpenter, did start off great this year but has faultered the last two months....

I want the Astros to win, but the bats may be the problem. If Ensberg and Berkman don't start hitting again it will be tough for the them to win. I was at the game yesterday and Berkman was swinging like a rusty fence. And clutch hitting has been a problem for the whole team. How many times this year have they had runners on 2nd & 3rd or bases loaded with no outs and not scored; way to many times.
But they do have the ability to go all the way. And I hope the do.
GO ASTROS!!!

If everytime a team had runners in scoring position and they scored the game would be boring! I'm sure every team in basaball leaves runners in scoring position just as many times as the Astros do it's the teams that det it done that win! I'm sure fans in Cleveland right now are saying the same thing

This is jmo, if i was roger i would out of my teammates for the lack of run support they give him so i guess that does give us a 3 man rotation

I'm sure fans in Cleveland right now are saying the same thing Yes I know that not everytime the bases are loaded teams score, but most of them get at least a sac fly and bring in 1 run. And if you ask any of the players they will tell you that they have done in more than other teams. Its now the time that they will have to cash in on those chances to score to win.

He starts game one and Clemens pitches game 2 followed by Backe and Oswalt.
